I have had plenty of riders I am cheering on (Marv when he was done). But no matter the excuse I understand. They are the rules. I cringe for the rider. But if we all see it on TV (most the time), there simply is no excuse.

The 250 one, What the actual F? The only excuse I can think the AMA is saying is Joe was allowed to jump the finish. Meaning he doesn't get the win. However, everyone still jumped the double. There is no world where there shouldn't be points deducted. I have never commented on an AMA decision. This is a joke.
Australian Nationals few years ago, there was a do not jump flag that nobody could see. Literally the whole field got a penalty. AMA doesn't have the balls.

The only consistent thing with the AMA is the incredible amount of inconsistency. It’s insane to me that riders will get docked to positions for accelerating went off the track, or failing sound check after a race when anything can happen to a motorcycle, but jumping on a red light gets nothing from this weekend? In the past, they have taken positions and points away for guys jumping on a red cross when the flag clearly couldn’t have been seen by the rider, yet they were docked.

I’m not one to yell corruption but how else do you explain this crap?
I am firmly on the side of penalties needing to be handed out. It doesn't matter that it was an operator error, Jo didn't know that and did what he was correctly told to do, which was slow down and not jump the doubles. He did not know it was an operator error and neither did Brown, or anyone else. Jumping on a red cross even if it's fake due to an operator error is reckless and dangerous, as if that was a real red cross and Brown jumped, he could've landed on somebody. Rules exist for a reason. When you see the lights or flag, you stop jumping, I don't get why the AMA thinks this is a touchy subject or something. Jo followed the rules and got punished for it.

Oh yea…I just watched that late part of the post race show. Clear as day! Holy $(*t AMA. WHAT THE??? Listen…I like Brown, but Jo had a 3 second lead before that. That’s Jo’s race.
I didn’t watch the post race show. I had to go to the hospital. My father in-law had a medical issue. I was up all night almost 24 hours straight.
100% agreed. Not sure how they can say they reviewed it and are levying no penalties.
I’ve kind of chuckled at the conspiracy posts…but with such clear evidence, and a history of using video to make rulings….i am seriously questioning the integrity of the AMA. In the past there seemed to be some wiggle room, albeit by a very small margin at times (ref off track acceleration), but there is no room this time. They are just saying suck it, the rules don’t apply to Star/Monster this time.
