It's not just the MX Business. "Custom" work in cars, moto, or really anything creative. It seems the people who have the ability to "create" tend to be terrible at business and effective communication. They need someone doing that for them. It works the other way too......Generally more business or leadership minded people are not creative or mechanical. It makes the world go around so to speak. Also, big red flag at 10k. As a quad guy myself, ive had 4 stroke Suzuki and Can-am engines fully, built, with some hand me down factory parts for about 6k. (I was tight with a factory supported satellite team) 10k?! That's just price gouging.
