I met Deegan at A1. I said “what up Haiden can I get a picture with you, I can even snap it while your walking” he just stared at me dead eyed! I ask him 2 more times and he still says nothing, just stood there and threw number 1 up so I knew that was a yes. I said “thank you bro I grew up in Temecula, take care!” lol he just walked away. I think these riders are over the “fandom”. I didn’t even ask him for an autograph because I know he hates it.
I always felt like Duffe was a legit genuine guy. Perfect fit for Haiden. What concerns me is he was on Pulp MX show talking about moving over to road racing?! wtf how you going to leave Deegan when he gets on a 450? Unless there’s things going on behind the scenes we don’t know about (IE: Deegs wants a fresh change of scenery, or Duffe isn’t getting paid enough, etc) I just found that bizarre he gained so much popularity from Deegan and he’s moving to 4 wheel racing
I can see roadracing being much more interesting for a mechanic. Those bikes are so much more complex than the single cylinder dirt bikes.

It's bound to me more interesting than being an umbrella holder for MX/SX riders. I don't think people realise the real action and brains in moto reside with the techicians - motor, engine etc - and engineers. Mechanics assemble and desassemble the bikes, carry umbrellas and pitboards, change parts, and whisper positive affirmations in the riders' ears...
No other rider in the pits would treat you that way. Not sure why you’d try to defend that behavior.

Sounds like he was nicer than most would have been. Why is it that people think these riders are a 24/7 kiosk of hospitality?
Go to the tent when he is signing autographs and not walking to the bathroom.

Why are y'all hating on the mechanic? He is just spinning wrenches trying to make some money like the rest of us. What's he going to do? Tell them to get the camera out of his face? He'll get fired immediately.
