Lol from 2001? James Stewart was on a legit Factory 125cc in 2004. Making him the last 125 Factory rider, since YoT team still wasn't "Factory Yamaha".

I seem to remember Carson was the 2nd fastest guy, just not great starts and maybe a crash? 

One thing that is forgotten in this whole discussion is you have to ride the 2t in the meat of the powerband, while that means keeping the revs up that also means not over revving the bike.  Modern 4t’s rev higher than current 2t’s and I see a lot of guys who jump to the 2t just rev the crap out of the bike and not go anywhere. 

Carson was 2nd fastest in moto 1 and 5th fastest in moto 2 at the 2025 2-stroke champs at GH. 

Derek Drake was 3 seconds faster in the first moto 2:28.8 versus 2:30.7

Second moto was Drake 2:32.1, Dante Oliveira 2:32.2, Dare Demartile 2:35.4, Bryson Gardner 2:35.7, Carson Brown 2:36.7

Overall was:

Oliveira 3-1

Demartile 4-2

Brown 2-4

Gardner 5-3

Drake was 16th o/a with 1-34

Im not articulating the point well, sorry. I’m just gonna move on. Nick raced later than James, he was the last *active pro that had raced one at one point in his career, until Lano. 

YoT was the factory Yamaha 125 effort in 2001, though.

YoT was the factory Yamaha 125 effort in 2001, though.

James last season and national was summer 2016.

Wey's last season was 2016 SX series ,then over a year later he came out of retirement in 2017 to race his home track  national at Redbud which was his last race.

If Wey hadn't come out of retirement for that one race Stewart would have raced later.

I,d Love to race the VMXDN . All I need is a 04 cr125 chassis . I hv the last national LL championship spec cr125. Engine. Still hangs with heavily modded YZ,s.  Ryan mills as a rookie got 4th in sx on the 04 cr125.

Ah I,m pretty sick right now. I can’t see myself riding a 500 right now in the condition I,m in. But 125 specialist R always Great 500 riders.  In 2000 Dobb proved that on the open bike at the Des Nations in 2000.

I weighed myself lastnight 161.8 that’s after 40 min sauna & 20 min whirlpool .  Working on sharpening my quickness etc .  Narrow focus on 125 riding.  I am looken for a clean 93-97 cr125.

This just made me think of Carson at the erzberg rodeo, he won the prolog which is based on raw speed. Then in the actual race he said dudes with beer bellies were passing him in Carl's dinner 😂.
