Quick update, I converted my 24 over to all the 26+ plus settings (cdi, airboot, airbox, carb settings). I was running T2 VP with the stock jetting 65p, 178main, 90pj (95 is stk), and n3ew-2. Yamaha finally sorted out the jetting I would say it’s slightly better than diggers settings. The CCL needle seemed to give the bike a more pronounced hit over the 26 settings. May need to increase the main to a 182.

I was able to test this jetting spec for the 2nd time today. Raced a cross country event that had all types of terrain and it was a good all around test for the jetting. Jetting worked amazing! Absolutely no complaints. This jetting has a lot of torque below the Powerband. Very good for woods racing. Temps were 95 degrees and high humidity. Bike ran phenomenal. Those individual championships are national championships, not World Championships. So as per the question, "The true World Championship?" it is not national championships either here in the USA or in Europe. It is the GP's. MXGP is the true World Championship. It has the history of tracks, the history of World Champions, traveling through Europe and elsewhere. It is what started it all so they have rights to the name. The AMA Nationals are a national series, which is why it hosts tracks in one country. It just so happens that it has a lot of prestige as one of the most competitive series in the world, and it's only going to be more competitive as GP riders come to America to race. Sure, the U.S. is big. No one’s arguing that. But racing coast-to-coast isn’t the same as flying from Argentina to Indonesia to Latvia in the span of a few weeks. AMA riders might cross a few time zones and sleep in a Holiday Inn. MXGP riders are dealing with passport stamps, jet lag, new cultures, unfamiliar food, different languages, and wildly different tracks every single round. So yeah—the U.S. is geographically large. But let’s not pretend that makes it a world championship. MXGP actually races around the world. That’s the part some folks seem to miss.

I feel like it was safer because the combination of limited traction, rough tracks, and hard to ride bikes made for a slower overall speed and smaller jumps. When 4 strokes came out, they were so much easier to ride fast, unskilled riders were suddenly able to go fast and clear big jumps. If the track is not a freeway it is a lot harder for most riders to go fast on a 2 stroke. It takes a lot more skill to get traction and carry speed.
