Watching Lucas’s bike coming into corners, his rear wheel never seemed to be tracking correctly. Rebound appeared to be off. Very understandable with the lack of time they were presented with. Imagine once they get a bike set up for him. I do love the fact that he goes out and races, hauls the mail and is so thankful afterwards. Nothing about the bike set up, getting acclimated or any other excuse. He was happy and acknowledged that he lost to the best rider in the world, thanks everyone for making this possible and thats it. Love that stuff.

Most people, experts and fans alike seemed to think Lucas would have a tough time with the Lawerence’s. Those of us that knew better thought he could beat Hunter right off the rip. Lucas is 19 and IMO clearly the second best Motocross rider in the world. Maybe a Sexton on a KTM could beat him, but that doesn’t exist anymore. Herlings needs to start in front of him to even have a chance. It was only Deegs third 450 race and Obviously Tomac Is out and Gajser is having a season from hell but Lucas is in rare air...

The riders can always say no, (say like Hunter is always known to do) but for example in the interviews above, if you don’t ask Beaumer what he changed on the start, he wouldn’t tell us he changed his launch rpm. Same with Hammaker, if you don’t ask him to elaborate regarding what he wants to improve with the suspension, we don’t get to hear him speak on the bike swapping side to side...

I’ve had a 24 KX450 for about year and half, got a good deal on a year end leftover. I don’t have much to compare to, first 450 for me. Always been a 250 guy, but had to have a 450. I’d guess it’s as easy to ride as any 450. Turns good and stable too. It’s still a 450 and ya crank it…….it goes. I didn’t knock the plug out of the air box, fast enough as is. I also dumbed mine down with a 10 oz Steahly flywheel. Doesn’t spool up as quick and cut down engine braking...
