Would have never believed it until they posted the all time win totals but Webb is only 3 wins shy of Dungey's total of 34 with 31. Who would've thunk it?
I predicted a podium but that win was something else. He almost died missing that finish line jump then comes back to win the whole thing. Absolutely ridiculous.

if he was on a ktm this year hed be 6+ tenths a lap quicker. bike looks pretty bad.

Yeah people need to calm down. He’s still off the pace and others are getting the best of him more often than not (HL, Chase, Eli).
He’s got more wood to chop but his consistent and gritty ways will prevail sometimes.
Tonight should have been Tomacs.
Those are lots of ifs and buts. Webb won and the format allows for these kind of rides to be enough for the W if some results go your way.
He really needed that, it will be interesting to see if he is able to further improve from the boost in confidence that the W results is. I do agree with you guys that he still isn't on pace with the fastest riders at the moment so he will need to improve from here.

Fun night of racing for sure (well, at least for the 450 class); maybe all the races should use the triple crown format, it could be the antidote to “startercross.”

Ya Webb has never had the pace on a 450 of others. But he still has 3 450sx titles (more than anyone else currently racing). He wins over and over by capitalizing when others slip, limiting damage on bad nights and being at every race.

Good point…so you do have to be there to win? But you don’t have to win to win a triple crown.
How is it any different from winning the O/A at an outdoor National if you go 2-2 and your competition is inconsistent?
That's a big "I don't know man" the guy did the same first 3 rounds. Should we say they're lucky he did x,x, and x those rounds? He almost died on the finish and came back to win.
He’s riding the same bike as last year. The one that got him the #1 plate he’s currently rocking.
It’s luck, unless you’ve done it winning 3 sx titles then it’s just part of who you are.
