Anderson post race interview

Did you hear Josh Mosiman telling Anderson how its weird the Suzuki still has a kickstarter?  Seriously?  So clever and funny so original!   Not. Just like the Prado/Kawasaki jokes.  When you first hear a joke its funny.  After 90 times its whats called “played out”.  I loved how Anderson told him “YOU might think its weird to see us up here but I have a feeling it wont look so weird pretty soon.   were gonna be here for a while BRO”.

Yeah I thought it was pretty lame, too. We’ve already ran through the kickstart Kenny thing years ago, do we really need to reignite that beaten to death talking point now that another top rider is doing well on the bike?

“Are you surprised to riding well on a proven race winning bike and team?” Brilliant.

JA looked really good last night. Also pure class going over and congratulating Rango on the victory after Chase won.

It's actually for hanging your stand while moving the bike!

You would think the lack of E-start was like riding with one hand tied behind your back the way they play up the kickstarter thing. Maybe bring up that the Zook is the same bike Dungey was winning on in 2011. Yes, yes, I know its different lol

Interesting fact: the 3 guys racing for PMG seem pretty damn happy with their bikes.

Ken won his last AMA title on an RMZ in '16, then they updated the bike in '18, and in '23 everyone basically called it a vintage bike.

There’s more than a couple of teams that are probably jealous at how well they have their bikes setup.

Why didn't Tomac bring a cable clutch onto the podium with him?

The problem is the update in 18 wasn’t enough of an update, by 18 Ktm Honda Yamaha all had gone to estart so the update in 18 largely gets overlooked as it stil appears to be prehistoric by other brand standards.

I agree though and laugh at all the comments it hasn’t been updated in 10-20 years they’re so wrong lol.

Also love to hear how heavy it is when it’s right with most of the others as they’ve all gained weight since 18.

Mosiman is a great dude, so I wouldn't be too hard on him; just friendly banter with Anderson.

Agree that the Suzuki is (obviously) still a great bike!  I wish Suzuki took advantage of the potential weight savings of having the kickstart, but obviously Pipes is making it work great....

Saw a video recently that showed Kenny starting his bike with the effort it would take to kickstart an old 125...maybe even less, and it fired with that meager dab. Amazing! Pipes has certainly minimized any disadvantage the kickstarter might be.

Lots of people still prefer the cable and I don't think it's viewed as a disadvantage. Everyone views the kickstart as a slight disadvantage and I think the perception is even worse than reality.

Easy there buddy, I consider the kickstarter an advantage. It's lighter, cheaper, more durable, and more reliable.

X2.... suzi is ahead of the others by being kickstart.... it's just that simple... just watch... years from now the others will revert.... as it is a performance advantage on track...

I mean, it is as good as any other bike if you don't crash. You mostly only kickstart before start, if you need to kickstart it 4 times during a race, then you've got more problems than the kickstart. I like my it on my 2t it's quick and I don't have any "oh shit, my button or wire is damaged" stuff.

He may be a great dude. But it’s still hard to get it out of my head when he took Jett out a few years  ago and reminded us from the podium that he is a follower of Jesus and Jesus was a savage.

I think some commenters might be getting the two Mosiman brothers mixed up.  Anyways... the post race interview by Anderson was great.  His attitude was awesome as was his riding.  I hope he continues to build on it and battles for podiums and maybe a win.
