I listen to Gypsy related content. And there was a 5 minute clip on his YouTube channel about the anstie situation so I watched it.
The deegan clan has created an environment where people from both sides of the aisle are tuning in. Very similar to Conor McGregor, people tuned in to see him either win or hope to see him lose. Popularity pays these days.

I did see a theory somewhere (vague much? haha) that was along the lines of, in this day and age when someone plays on this love them or hate them shtick, any negativity that the 'haters' show makes the 'lovers' even more convicted! So while the majority may not like the actions they probably weren't gonna buy the merch anyway, it's the 'lovers' that feel like they have a sense of duty to REALLY support the person that's getting the 'hate'..
