Who is responsible for these? I'm asking mostly because the music selection tells me they're roughly 45 years old or are aiming for that market and it makes me laugh with every one. Turned a lot of laps at the skating rink to rhythm is a dancer.

I see a lot of younger people these days commenting how they don't like modern music and that the older stuff is better, even with AI you can make better songs then some of the garbage that's in the mainstream.

I'm 51 so yeah, I like the older stuff but I have to admit - Rhythm is a Dancer is a very odd choice. Like...."WTF" level. LOL.

Some of the song choices are very clever - remember Nirvana at Washougal.

Pretty sure this tune would make a great addition to a video...

Tom does a great job and always has. I quite like the music choices he makes. Keeps it fresh.

People, I like the music and the vlogs, a lot! They're great! This one, club, and sexton are the only rider vlogs I've gotten into.

I just found it funny that the music seems to be targeted for a generation older than what most things are aimed at, but maybe kids these days are into the oldies? I'm incredibly ignorant on pop culture so have no idea.

Maybe it’s just that what’s popular now doesn’t match moto very well? I mean it’s pretty shit 😂

I think the boys pick some songs, but Tom's music selection has been spectacular across the board.  I considered Elton John boring 90's dentist music growing up but the take Tom did with Elton's Someone Saved My Life Tonight a few years back (?) had me at the top 1% of listeners on Spotify in '24.  Maybe someone can dig that piece up because I can't find it and it's timeless??? There was also some soft release on Instagram with Paradisio - Bailando with Power Rangers graphics banging back and forth. I don't know but It disappeared just as fast as I saw it. Love all the takes and Hunter digging into the past with the present is very nice.

Strange thing for me is; I don’t even care to watch the riding.  I care more about the banter in the truck and fun spirited comments between G, 18, Johnny O., Dazzy, 96, etc.  Song choice is 🔥.

I agree. One of the better edits from last year.

At the time he was freelancing rather than being poached. Or he was working for Racer X (pretty sure he still is). I think things with him and Team Fried ended badly, which is a shame as what Tom was doing around 2018-2021 ish really set the bench mark for modern moto videos. So it would have been cool to see where he took it.

I think it was all the content he was putting out for Team USA during the 2019 Nations at Assen that really put him and Team Fried on the map. That was kinda the start of motocross vlogs.

Only negative for me personally is the constant giggling of the cameraman.

Maybe the younger crowd being into the older music is because dad had control of the stereo.  🙃

Tom’s editing style has always been that way. His early stuff was exactly the same. Good music makes an edit, not new music

I spend a lot of time traveling to tournaments with my younger daughter and I noticed 3-4 years ago her playlist started to include some really cool 80's music. Everything from Elton John "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" to Metallica "Master of Puppets". Most of it comes from Stranger Things, with a lesser nod to TikTok. I welcome the escape from teen girlie-pop music.

My older daughter is now into the 90's alt stuff she grew up hearing in my truck, the garage, etc. For Christmas she asked for Smashing Pumpkins' Gish and Mellon Collie on vinyl. I don't know where that came from, but again I'm not complaining.

Music has always been great, the zoom in on the seal during the intro to Rhythm Is A Dancer was hilarious. Ive found some new Aussie songs because of their vlogs.

The rhythm is a dancer song is over-done here in the UK. It was so popular in its time, that the radio stations play it daily all these years later. For me, Im sick of it.. But typically, the songs on these vlogs have been ace and I look forward to them so I can add to my playlist each week! Last week- Dr. & the Medics - Spirit in the sky! Love it! Tom introduced me the Hilltop Hoods too - now I'm a big fan of them and id never heard of them until a Lawrence vlog.
