We spent almost 15 years with Bailey. Got her after our now 24 year old son bawled until Mom said yes lol. She was spoiled and deserved it, a little firecracker from day one as well🤣

We're gonna miss her for sure 1000000664100000066510000006661000000667

Bummer I’m sorry, only problem with dogs is they don’t last long enough. 😔I did that two years ago. My favorite dog, she was with me for 13 years. IMG 3993 2

Sorry for your loss. I know it doesn't make it easier, but 15 years is a good run. And it sounds like she was loved and had a good life. It's the circle of life. RIP Bailey

So sorry to hear about Bailey. It's one of  the hardest things you have to do in life.

I just had to put my Bailey down about two months ago. She was a great dawg and I miss her a lot.....😥

I'm sure you gave her a great life. That's all a dog can ask for.

This is why I can't own another dog.  I love them, all shapes, sizes, breeds, etc.  We've 'dog sat' for family members often recently and it was actually difficult to return them home when it came time to.  If we actually had dogs full time, my attachment to them would result in just too many broken hearts.

I may rethink that in my old age, though, as there's now a decent chance that a pup could outlive me!

I hate to read shit like this, it always makes me sad for the family that lost a family member. 20 years seems too short and only 7 years is the blink of an eye. I'm sure Baily gave you a life time of happiness and that's what we need to focus on.

So sorry for your loss,

TM

I am sorry for your loss. I hate that they don't outlive us. I miss my sweet boy Mac every day. Only lived 4 years and a tumor took him but he was the best friend I ever had.

Sorry you lost your pup. It’s rough. We put our cat down 2 weeks ago after 15.5 years. Wife and I really miss him. Hang in there.👍🏻

Hoping all the memories will keep you warm and give you some peace.

Dogs live just long enough to break hearts. Sorry you have to experience this. (I am due with my girl English Bulldog that has made past 12, but getting weaker)

Hey SCYRacing,

One of the things that really helped me when I lost my boy Remy in May was having others share their stories of loss and also the amazing memories of their dogs that will live with them forever.
Here is my best boy I lost at 11 years old after his 18month battle with cancer.
He made me understand gratitude for the most simple things in life as he was a homeless stray from the street we gave a home to.

I hope Bailey lives on everyday with you and your family in thoughts and memories.
My fam and I will be thinking about you and yours.
Would love to see some more pics of Bailey if you have any. IMG 1072 6IMG 5712

Looks like Remy provided you a lot of Joy.

Sorry about the cancer.

Got me at a slow time at work lol. Found some more pics, and one funny nugget about Bailey.  As little as she was, she got fired by 3 groomers in her life because she was so feisty🤣100000066810000006691000000670.jpg?VersionId=oJjNvHM9kv5TbZ1RkE8iEF10000006711000000672

Thanks for the suggestion SA. Of course I can't find the pic I was looking for: My wife put a coat on her many years ago. She looks so pissed off in the pic and it looks like our other dog at the time was laughing lmao

Dealing with it much better today. The thought of her not being around sucks, but the why makes it at least bearable. What we thought was a just a "chest cold" wasn't. Her heart murmer got to the point her lungs were filling up with blood. If we let that go she would have had a horrible end

The healer/Labrador (65-70 lbs) loves cows, hates people.

The Kelpie mix (55-60 lbs) hates everything.

It's fun around here.
