Tomac running different pants tonight too. Like different chassis/system. Interesting.

He looked incredible. And we gotta assume that the WSX races helped him and the team setting up the bike.

Will be an * this year though. No Jett.

Not unless Jett gets one for his rookie 450 outdoor title since ET, (the defending champion) was out....

ET and KR  have both lifted their aggression level and endurance.  Can see it in their riding.

Tomac doesn’t say much but JB questioning him on the bike and he basically said his bike hasn’t been that good in a long time. I believe it, he hasn’t looked that good on the Yamaha since the old chassis. Stoked for him, I hope he brings it all year.

Tomac basically said his Yamahas didn't turn like his KTM and he hasn't had this type of front end bite in a long time.  In a nutshell, Blue Pigs don't turn well.

Still calling them blue pigs huh? Which decade are you living in? Meanwhile the current defending champ is on a Yamaha and is known to get his bike turning the tightest on the track. Get outta here with that nonsense. And as far as Tomac speaking on his lean angle last night, he was referring to finally switching back to a normal rear tire and not being stubborn and running the scoop. The scoop sucks on lean angle and turning.

Your Yamaha champ is also on a year old bike cause he hates the new model. Blue pig hits again

Ok, ok, I’m eating crow!

I predicted that Eli would struggle to gel with the pumpkin.

Happy to have been proven wrong. He looked awesome on it. In fact, team RB KTM looked awesome as a whole.

Roczen was insanely good too. No one else was even close to these guys. Would be absolutely stoked to see either of these guys take the championship to be honest.

Agree 100%.

ET rode very well, but so did KR. He stayed within about 3 seconds of Eli all the way to the finish.

Both of them were laying down some impressive times. Fun to see the old guys beat the kids. lol

Love to see Eli win like that, you never know how these team changes will go.

He looked great on the KTM. I was most impressed with his starts. I also heard he scrapped the scoop tire.

i think not racing WSX for a few rounds was a mistake by sexton.  I think the real race environment helped roczen and tomac immensely.  The two gapped the field by 30sec.   the fact the 26 sx title could come down to those two as their swan song is fvckin awesome.

Hmm interesting take. From everything I heard he's said the 2026 is better on most parts of the track but just wanted to stick with what he knows works and won the championship on. At least the Yamaha isn't Indian owned and will be built with mostly Chinese parts within the next 3 years. Awesome ride for Tomac though! Looked so solid. Always happy to see the legend on top

Blue f*cking Pig is right.  Tomac looks like he’s throwing around a BMX bike now.

Steve Matthes has been famously down on Tomac due to age. And “Prado corner” where he bitches about Prado.  Pulp is going to have some crow to feast on tonight.

Tomac looked unfucking real last night. Wonder if Chase has some buyers remorse?? He was lightening fast on that KTM often. Tomac is an adult and a pro's pro working with a team of adults who are pro's at what they do. Looks to be a nice combo.

Maybe Jett should have stayed off the floor.  You have to be in it to win it. The asterisk should be on Jett. He didn't show up.

I think having a reset on his suspension settings really helped out, and they also got him to move away from the scoop tire. I do believe some of these racers need a voice of reason to correct the ship when it gets off course. It seemed Yamaha was letting him do his own thing and it doesn't always work out.

At one point I thought we were going to see a Tomac, Roczen, Anderson podium. It was almost like we went back five years.

It was really cool seeing him after the race, if you didn’t know you would have thought it was his first ever race win. He seemed like he was over the moon.

There’s a little asshole voice in my head saying, I told you so…. And now he’s going to win half of the mains this year and run away with the title.

And I’m struggling to argue with the asshole…

Your point about the tyre change makes sense, except for what we saw in WSX. In the first round Tomac did, he looked equally impressive as A1 in the corners, but he was on the scoop.
However the other question mark from WSX is from the second round where the KTM totally sucked on a different surface. That was also attributed to the scoop, but I’m interested to see if Eli performs the same when we get to a round with different dirt.
A1 was impressive, but have they got it dialled yet in all situations?

It looked pretty slick out there.
