I thought the bike actually looked good - like the suspension was moving but also balanced. I hope they don’t freak out and go back to the drawing board. I think his style seems to have changed a little, standing very deep into the turns and in general just more like Jett, but not as loose. 
I’m willing to chalk this round up to lack of gate drops on that machine in actual race situations. He will be fine and back battling up at the front next week I’m sure. But even at his best….Tomac looks like a monster right now. We’re in for some great racing is what I expect.

He will continue to make a lot of money, get a lot of attention, and never quite be what anyone (good or bad) wants him to be. It is a great way to make a living and does anyone really blame him if they hissing who he is.

He'll be fine. Not fine as in "no more stupid mistakes"... those will persist with him as long as the sky is blue. But, I have no doubts he'll win multiple races this season and remain in title contention until the final stages, given he doesn't get injured. I will say though, if Tomac replicates his performance from last night, this season could resemble '23 SX. Sexton may have some otherwordly dominant rides, but Tomac putting together consistent performances and winning when he gets good starts will be too much for Sexton if he has 4 or 5 absolute stinkers.

He said Kawi gave him Prados Green Turtle so he could prove it wasnt the bike! If he cant make it work by round 3 there going to give him Andersons faster bike to ride

I was really surprised he didn’t get DQ’d for cutting across the track like he did after he crashed in the heat race. That could have been really bad cuz it was blind and he didn’t even look. 

Chase still my pick for the SX title on the Kawi!

Still the fastest rider on any given day (with Jett out).

visually seems like hes on the james stewart suspension tuning program, but he rides too rigidly to make it really work. or maybe kawi really is that F'd up with their superpro bike setups looking at how hard marchbanks ate it in the whoops..when a privateer kawi under harrison had no issues at all. 

Next to the bridge? He really didn’t have anywhere else to go, and I’m sure if it was later in the race and more spread out he would have been more cautious.. 

but I think this is one of the few times we have seen, if you miss the bridge, you kinda have to cut across the under lane, or ride backwards to get a run up.. neither of which are a great option.

He loads the bike harder than anyone hence the knifing in years past.

I think Chase will pull out a win here and there, and hit the ground a bunch too. Leapord doesn't change its spots...or whatever Matthes used to say. 

I think he does great. Looked awesome yesterday and just made a mistake in the main and got thrown off. I bet he’s great next week. 

Chase will be exactly as he was on Honda and KTM. Speed, a bit of inconsistency with front end disappearing. Just his riding style. Like RJ, don't know when he is red zoning his setup.

To early to tell. Give them 3-5 races. We all remember Tom's and others needing races to setup kawi and Yamaha.

Everyone can put down the panic button, Kris Keefer has now explained that the bike IS NOT the issue because he was faster than Jorge Prado (who did his 6th ever SX race) in over 50% of the segments. All is good boys!
