June feeling like im being strangled walking up inclines...

2D ultrasound...

MRI / Dye

Angiogram ( through wrist 30% blocked = Good  genitics they say)

2 pedal valve in my heart " Calcified "

2 pedal is a birth defect...both of my parents are gone , nobody to sue...

I said ill schedule this after the Snowmobile Season they said No way , we gotta go Now !

We get sued all the time when we know something and do nothing about it , and I can really feel it , no oxygen,  no wind...

The good news , both my Reg Dr. Cardiologist and Surgeon say im going to feel like im 20 years younger since I won't be deprived of oxygen  anymore.

The End

P.S.

Do you know how many people I know that just fell over dead before and or around 60 from never saying anything about issues or ,  way up in Wis.

 Have Zero health insurance.

My wife had a congenital valve defect. They kept telling her that she’d need to get it replaced when she got ‘older’.  They kept saying that it’d be 10 years in the future, every time she saw a cardiologist. Then in late summer of 2017, the doctor told her that it was time to replace the valve. We thought that meant that we could schedule it for sometime in the spring of 2018, but the doctor said that it had to be done in the next 2 weeks!  She had a bovine valve put in and everything was good for almost 6 years but it calcified and led to her having a stroke in June of 2023. She fully recovered from the stroke but she ended up having to replace the tissue valve with a mechanical valve, so she’s had 2 full open surgeries to recover from!

While there’s probably no such thing as a ‘good’ stroke, hers led to being able to replace the failing valve before it became fatal and also led to her being diagnosed with cancer before she had any real symptoms of it. That’s the closest thing to a ‘good’ stroke that I can think of!

Good luck with your surgery and hope you recover fully and quickly!

My calcium is coming from somewhere  10 years ago a low score but concerning,  5 years ago tripled , a year ago 2.5 mm of cement on my Exit...

The Dr. " The problem with MRI's

You find things you werent looking for "

One of my Lympnodes is larger then the other...( my Regular Dr. Says its been that way since 2007 , cancer grows it hasn't & blood work is a o.k. )

But now that its on there radar..

Oncology wants to measure it , check back every 6 months , blood work..

Mechanical valve = Blood thinner for life ?

Yes, I think that it’s warfarin?

She got the bovine tissue valve initially to avoid blood thinners, but because the first one calcified so quickly she wasn’t really a candidate to replace with another tissue valve. She may have had the same issue that you have, but I think that the term that they used was ‘bicuspid’. Sounds like it could be close to the same.

I'd have them biopsy it. And NOT the "fine needle biopsy" those are worthless. All those tests, CT showed "slightly enlarged", PET came back negative, but doc was thorough. Wanted to be 100% so off to surgical biopsy. Only then did they find the cancer. I've been very fortunate with western meds. Most people DXed with my disease at same time are no longer with us.

Good on you for getting it taken care of Oldschool!

Hope it goes perfect!

My neighbor, 2 doors down, just died last night.

55 years old, didn't want to go to the doctor...  Sad day.

Maybe you'll be wondering why you want to stand in a field and chew grass. But in all seriousness, I read an article ealier this year of people that get transplants from donors and take on traits from the donors. Like one kid that received a heart from a drowng victim and after the procedure was deathly afraid of bathing. They had many examples but apparently it's a thing. So when you find yourself slowly backing away from the grill....

Thread on December 17th: Living like a Kid Again with my New Heart ❤️

Stoked for you. Gettin’ your stuff fixed is a great thing.

All us “rebuilt” old coots are gonna have to have a “Old Folks with New Parts Ride” in the Spring. Maybe…April in San Felipe? 🤣

Your successful surgery and smooth-as-silk rehab will be on my mind.

Hey man, I was just there with this myself. Last winter I started feeling extra fatigued. In April I went on vacation to visit my father for my 50th and ended up in the hospital with what I thought was a cough/cold/allergy problem. Diagnosed with heart failure. My Ejection Fraction was down to 17%. They said that I was pretty close to having a major incident. After echo's, cardiac cath, etc. they found out that I was born with a bicuspid Aortic valve, that had worn out. Had valve replacement with a pig valve on 6/17. Being 50, I had to have full open heart. The procedure wasn't horrible and recovery wasn't either. It is amazing how good they are with these things. I can't believe how much better I feel.  Looking back, I had been suffering for years leading up to this, Just too stubborn to go get checked up at the doc.  I can now enjoy long MTB rides with my son and the only thing holding me back is the strength in my legs, not my lungs or heart.  Good luck with it and heal up quick! You're going to be way better off.

Eliquis in my case. I had squamous cell carcinoma that started on my scalp then metastasized to my neck and lungs. The lungs bit led to PE blood clots, thus Eliquis for the duration
