He's hinted at it a little here and there, and is obviously well past being retired from the sport. I can't see him racing LLs either, but wondering if we'll ever get to see him ride again even if for a legends/exhibition type race like they did a few years ago at Ironman.
yeaaa if his body feel right & honestly I wouldn’t be surprised to see him try his hand going back to the ranch like they all do , at best I can see him being like a grand marshal for the ranch or a national in the future , spin 1 or 2 solid lil hot laps in
Seeing what he did was enough for me. No way to repeat, or exceed that. Amazing!
I just hope he can enjoy riding motorcycles again, seeing it again would bring a smile to my face…don’t give 2 shit’s if “he’s still got it or not” and would like to see him enjoy riding dirt bikes like we all do.
As far as actaully riding again, he may just for fun...I think James has been pretty much over racing a long time ago.

I see that side, but also love still seeing MC have fun at races like Mammoth.
Does his kids ride at all? Like even pitbikes or anything? James seems to be a pretty private person so I could see him keeping it quiet, but if his kids ride anything at all then surely he gets out there and rides with them even if not on a track.
Certainly hope so, even this far post-career you have to imagine he could flip the switch and continue doing sick things on a bike.
There was an interview where he has mentioned if his kids were to race the ranch in the future he may race for fun.
It is crazy that we've not seen ANYTHING about James riding....and I'm talking just a joy ride. He was so over it and bitter at the sport, but then he came back in a big way and was super involved. Yet still never any footage of him riding. I know there was that clip of him idling around on a Honda with the kids, but literally nothing since then (2021?). Idk man.
Yeah him and his kids do ride!
I can't imagine any world in which Big James would have missed an opportunity to work on minibikes for his grandchildren.
I remember an interview or on a broadcast where his kids asked him if he could beat Uncle Malcolm. He said they went riding and he couldn't keep up with Malcolm now and his kids were poking him about that. So I guess he still rides and had a Honda the last time I saw recent pictures of him.
Heads would explode if Red Bull and Era's got Carson Brown to go head to head with Stew on a KX125. James is humble enough these days to not even care if he gets beat.. I mean, Carson has only lost to Kenny on an 85cc I think.. even Bam couldn't break the streak.
I hope they make it happen.. and I hope its a surprise when they do. Would be amazing!
Wash your mouth out with soap son, no one on earth can beat Bubba Stewart on a kx125.
Google says he will turn 40 in a couple weeks! Wow time flies!
When will James Stewart ride again thread?
10 pager for sure..
I wonder if he has EVER been free riding in the hills, obviously not in Florida. I can't recall any photos/videos of him doing so. That's sure to bring the fun back!
Carson would mop the floor with James right now. I don't care to see Bubba doing Bubba things, he's earned a well deserved retirement from all that. Would love to see him cut some just-for-fun and for him probably very slow laps on a track.
Pit Row
I miss giant free riding spots like the Mud Flats here in Atlanta back in the 80s and early 90s. Not sure anything like that exists anymore at least around our area
Hate to say it, but you're probably right.
We owe Bubba a debt of gratitude, his speed and style were unmatched, he changed the sport forever.
He talks about it at the 7:30 mark here...
Would be cool to see him back on a Kawi and doing the science of supercross segments, or sharing them with AC.
Oh, for sure. I mean, Carson made a pretty recently retired AC look average by comparison, but it would no doubt be something that had people unable to wipe the smiles off their faces.
Maybe he will be the one to debut the 2 stroke Kawi…
Imagine though? lol
