I missed that. Interesting that they would only give Tom a one year.

I think Tom was a one-year offer for two reasons - 1) he is still unproven on a 450 and his 250 skills may not successfully transfer over and 2) the KTM group needs to position themselves financially for Kay de Wolf and / or Coenens to arrive by '27.

With Jorge, they know how good he can be on the bike, with years of KTM / GasGas data to support. Plus, they know he is HUNGRY to prove everyone wrong in year two in The States.

Looking ahead, if Jorge's program proves fruitful in '26 and if the aforementioned Euros do plan to arrive by '27, what does that mean for Plessinger and Tomac's futures, in terms of where KTM plans to spend their investment?

I don’t know man. My guess is Jorge came cheap and Tom wanted some more money after two SX Championships. Add Tomac who doesn’t come cheap and KTM’s budget being slightly tighter now I think that was the reason behind it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole Prado drama at Kawi didn’t happen KTM would be a two man 450 team for 2026.

All legit points, for sure. And I'll bet when the Honda MXGP deal came Tom's way, it was pretty hard to say no to that one!

I for one would be very surprised if Jorge's new KTM deal soured by the end of 2026; the brand was very much "home" to him in MX2, MXGP and his brief stint last year in USSX - albeit a mostly different specific team and continent when he was there, but I truly believe that this will be the mindset that he needs to feel his absolute best. He's going to come out swinging, but if it doesn't work out, he will be in a very rough position here in the U.S. after that.

I guess it would depend on the definition of working out.  Top 10's in sx and a podium contender outdoors would be considered a success.

Yes his dad is or at least was paying. Crazy to think he was battling or even beating Deegan on occasion in their last year of supermini. His transition to big bike went terribly, didn’t grow much, got injured and more.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the “didn’t grow much” comment. Dude is just tiny from what I can remember.

Nowhere else to post this but Ducati’s team roll out has been so shitty. Quite literally the worst I’ve ever seen. Still not a single photo of the bike or the team or anything but they keep posting shit like this.

Someone said Troy Lees doing a big roll out with Ducati the week of A1, I think maybe from Matthes.

I don't think you'll see anything official until the first week of January.

Probably still ironing out some finer details of the bike/sponsors etc. Langenfelder posted something recently and he had to take it down as something was up with a logo on his shirt.

You can bet the TLD announcement will be worth the wait though.

I think TLD and Ducati have a team introduction/press event planned leading up to A1. Until then it'll be pretty quiet.

Troy Lee Designs always has the cooolest sponsers. I love the looks of the Ducati and hope they have a successful season. I think Ferrandis and Barcia are great for their first season, though Roczen would have been a good pick if available.
