Just watched this short promo/interview with Sexton, hoping to find out more about the Kawasaki deal: https://youtu.be/oyWQFa-qBXc?si=qQFSoh5ry7EQfbAZ
Isn't that the guy who voiced an older series? I can't remember which one.
The Great Outdoors, Troy Adamis.
Cool to know he’s still around, I always enjoyed those.
Actually it's Troy Adamitis.

I butchered that, thank you.
Yeah not a piece of work that he’s put out I did not enjoy and re watch!
Interesting how many scenes of the KTM techs removing and messing with the shock on Chase's bike...
Has Tomac seen this video?
for gods sake, stop it! did you see how many times he crashed in the video an ALL the bikes he's ridden? Did they replace the shock at A! where he won? Get over it guys with the shock, just sounds dumb at this point, sound like parrots repeating over and over. Use your heads and try thinking logically for your selves and not repeating the same shit over and over. No offence of course.
There absolutely is/was an issue with the shock this year. Mark Johnson basically confirmed it last night on Pulp, just didn’t specify the exact issue.
Doesn't Mark Johnson work for Kawasaki?
Love all of Troy’s work. Going to check it out later today, can of Chase.
Yes, Tomac saw the 8 minute video with 2 shock change clips and shredded his contract
The exact issue is that it was connected improperly. You see, it was connected to a bike that Chase was riding. 😆
Profile pic checks out
No he owns REP suspension
No offense of course...but I would seriously consider getting a medication adjustment.
Funny how people forget how many times Tomac pushed the front end trying to beat Dungey in SX. Pushing the front end and crashing is the typical type of crash a rider has trying to push his limits in an attempt to win. Tomac had Sexton covered for a couple of years and Sexton pushed the front end and crashed on the Honda trying to beat him. Now he is doing the same with Jett. You guys want to beat up on a guy that is willing to push the limit to win! Tomac went from Honda to Kawasaki than to Yamaha trying to find a better bike to win championships on. But no one is baging on Tomac.
I just believe the whole shock thing has been played out. Just like when Chase kept losing the front of the Honda, everyone jumped on the bandwagon that something was wrong with the bike. And then Jet comes out on the same bike and does Jet things. Not saying there wasn't a problem. but because it was shared publicly right before they split ways, now that's what everyone is referring to as "the" problem. If you watched the video, Chase said they had "personality differences" as to why he left, not a shock problem. Come on man!
Pit Row
Perhaps u should consider the same...
No offense, of course...
🤣
Shhh you’re ruining the narrative.
… with this info, it’s all coming from my buddy who works at the Austria brands, in suspension. From him, it’s the shock shaft diameter that seems to be the issue, getting too hot.
He wouldn’t need a new shock every time he rode if it was just a personality clash.
It was said that at Bakers factory, Chase’s dad (practice mechanic) would swap the rear shock multiple times a day. Kind of a weird thing to make up no?
Also based on your logic, explain Vialle not racing the 2nd moto last race because he didn’t feel safe or confident in his set up. He had multiple shock failures all year.
It’s okay to be a die hard fan of a brand. But you gotta call a spade a spade.
It's the same 18mm shockbshaft in MXGP and AMA for Xact Pro and factory shock I assume? OEM is 16mm.
So still doesn't explain why they have issue in US only as it seems.
He did specify what he thought the issue is. Insufficient pressure balance. That's a valving/tuning issue. Not enough back pressure being created by the compression adjuster, allowing the rebound chamber to cavitate.
Vialle, Barcia, and Chase have all mentioned the shock issue. We'll likely never know what was going on behind the scenes this year at KTM, but enough comments have been dropped it's clear it wasn't business as usual during the restructuring.
I was just going to post the same thing. If it was just Chase complaining, then I'd believe it was an anomaly. But when Viallle started saying it was scary, you really have to think it's a problem.
I don't know. My son isn't at that level. But he trained with a group of riders for 8 years. Growing up everytime one of the kids dropped the bike they would stop and make sure there bars weren't twisted. (They always thought they were).
I said to my son, you don't stop. You adapt and if it is that bad we will resolve it after the moto. What if it happens in a race. Fast forward to being a pro he doesn't get to caught up in things. There is always a way to adapt,
Yes chase is pushing that .01%. But we have all seen Jett ride a moto off the pace until he adapts to the wrong setting. There is no miracle setting/bike. I liked Rogers line of "get up earlier than the other guy". Now when you see chase the guy is probably one of the strongest , fit rider. But what Roger in his way was saying is correct
And to elaborate on your last sentence, I think Roger was talking about not just physical training, but every weakness you have. Mental, physical, riding the bike whatever. There is more to going fast than just pounding out motos and switching clickers.
I don't know man.....guys refused to race allegedly over the shock issues. It was not just Chase, so clearly there was an issue and it was not minor.
