There is a rumour that Tomac only signed a letter of intent at KTM & not a contract. Apparently Monster is now wanting to throw a ton of money at him to get him to Kawasaki as the second rider.
However i thought Tomac was to start testing KTM this week. Hopefully ML can clear it up with whats actually happening or if he heard similar
Tomac likes the fastest bike possible. I heard Kawis are too slow, that will never work.
He'll get Anderson's bike, the fast Kawasaki.

I was at the goat farm today checking out star and asked the simple question of where does Tomac go is he 100% at ktm and they all said they see him with kawi after what they seen at mxdn with monster.
It was awesome watching Lucas Coenen spinning laps this last Monday at Fox Raceway. Coincidence?
Sure was and I had similar thoughts. Had some free spectator time as I tweaked something in lower back about 6 laps into the day. Macadoo ripping around on a 450 with black plates was also pretty cool and thought provoking???

It’s pretty common for 250 guys to train on a 450. I don’t think he’s going to be the guy that takes that ride. But it would be cool!
PC gives all their guys 450s to ride when they want. McAdoo has been on it for a few weeks to work himself back into shape, don’t read into it.

On that show Lewis and ML clearly stated Tomac was at KTM... Maybe something could have changed? They also said the Coenens probably don't come here until 2028 (2 more years), but are training and planning to race some super cross rounds in 2026 even though the MXGP season starts in late February in 2026 (risky move in the event one of the twins gets hurt in supercross)...
Most may disagree but I'd rather see Tomac back on a Kawi than a KTM
Now KTM has prado do they really need Tomac? They are trying to save money & now have a podium guy in AP & a podium guy in JP for outdoors. Added to this coenen is expected to be in for first 3 SX’s thats 3 bikes under the tent for those. I feel like adding JP has taken the pressure off.
On the flip side, id love to see Tomac on the steel frame. If they get him comfy he can still do damage. & it would be nice for KTM to be more involved in WSX
I see a lot of people shitting on this possibility but i also just seen ML straight avoid the question at hand. I think theres a bunch of KTM D riders that want to see tomac on the orange POS but in reality it makes 100% more sense for Tomac to return to Kawi and finish his career and the reason being, Monster Energy.

Agreed. While his time at Kawi didn't end in the grandest fashion, he's proven that he can perform well on that platform. I just feel like his riding style is the antithesis to a steel-framed Austrian bike.
His style is very similar to Febvre’s and we’ve seen how he can do on it 👍🏻
