Thanks Bud!

This is a ‘79 XR80. I like the XR75 decals on here. I had them leftover from another project. The pipe is from XRMiniracer.com  Check out their site to see some awesome XR75’s  The bike is normal size. It must just be the way the pic looks.

This thing is sick, well done dude.

FB Marketplace led me to an old tired set of Sano forks and a Five0 swingarm. I designed and made a fork guards if anyone else needs some for these forks. The originals were torn. I also added UHMW slide rings on fork tube outers so the fork guards don't rub right against the aluminum.

Brought forks back to life, machined my own top clamp. Tore down and powdercoated the swinger. I need to stiffen fork spring badly. Very odd damper assembly approach.

Thanks T-Mac! Your builds coming out awesome, those forks are a hell of a pickup. I gave in and picked up a crf last weekend so I’ll be posting the progress soon.IMG 3025 0

I wanted one of the Honda Mini Trail 50 from the late 60s. Never got one. I found 1968 first year KO on eBay back around 2007 and restored it. I loved that bike. I sold it and I wish I hadn't.

My pit bike is full size but it gets the job done.  Mod’d 250 F with Tuscany Racing suspension front and rear, lots of other stuff too.  It’s fun on an easy MX track.

THIS MAKES ME WANT ONE OF THESE. MODERN VERSION OF THE XR250

It's more of a modern version of the XR200.

Yeah I have both - well a 230F and a XR250, they are both awesome but def not comparable.

The XR is still an absolute weapon in the woods, and the CRF is a much friendlier play bike.

You're talking inches of suspension travel, a significantly faster and higher revving motor and almost 40% more power.

just picked this up a couple weeks ago. It’s a ‘79 XR80. It has a longer, XR100 swing arm, fox shocks, and yet to be identified longer forks  and different triple clamps. Someone else’s project that stalled. I have big plans for it

I did the same thing with my 78 XR75,I used the XR100 swing arm and then some 13.5 shocks and longer stiffer front forks.

Thanks! I did not think these were real Fox shocks, but now I think they are. Look just like these. IMG 3588 5

My Brother's '05 KLX110. I won a lot of Pitbike championships and fair races on this thing! Spent probably $6800 on this thing over the years (our price) when we worked at the dealership. Almost $10K if it was retail. Man these things were so popular in early 2000's. Went from a simple 134cc kit, HD fork springs, rear shock, PC exhaust, HD Footpeg kit and a 4th gear drum.. Then it turned into:

 -Big bore carb kit
-Two Bros swingarm kit
-cdi box
-Marzocchi Forks kit with bigger wheel and disc brakes
-Magura manual clutch
-Two bros blue anodized kit
-Big Nutz fuel cap
-Renthal bars
-Rear wheel upgrade
-HD spoke kit
-HD Shift lever
-HD Brake lever
-HD Kick starter
-Renthal front and rear sprockets
-Carbon fiber front brake cable bracket
-Skid plate kit
-SDG tall seat
-Michelin Starcross rear tire
-Original Scorpion tire that came with the Marzocci kit
-Kevlar clutch plate kit
-178cc SCUT kit +R Superhead
-Aux oil cooler
-Two Bros Big Bore exhaust
-Heavy clutch springs
-Only this 1 graphics kit and number plates were put on

Both of those are really cool, but that little Kawi is on another level in rarity. Give us a little background on that. How did you come across it?😎

Mid Ohio swap meet July every year and York Pa. Swap meet in January.
I always found Hondas and re did them. Then stumbled into a Kawasaki and got hooked! So much faster and therefore sketchier!

This one is my 4th probably but they are not as valuable as the Hondas. This is a 76 painted to look like the 72 Parnelli Jones special.
Started as a 700 dollar project. Parts not as plentiful but still a solid following out there

Thanks for the info. Am I understanding you right,  this the 4th one you’ve had and restored? I have seen a little Kawi like that in 40 years. Really cool and thanks for sharing it with us. Golf Clap to you Sir…👏
