Cost isn’t the biggest factor, but it is a factor. What’s everyone using for helmet, boots, and knee braces? Plus all the other stuff.
I always bring this up when people want gear bag recommendations but to me the huge bags that hold your boots, helmet and gear is big and annoying and if you ride in the mud your shit gets nasty from the boots. Unless you are traveling or flying somewhere.
Duffle with my gear, braces, chest protector and goggle bag. Helmet its in own helmet bag and boots I just carry around.
I carry the duffle and helmet bag into the laundry room wash gear and helmet pads when I get home, me and my wife ride or race once a week and this system has worked great for the last couple years.
Simple for me and thank god they're not calling them "kit bags"
If riding my Suzuki = Suzuki gear bag.
If riding my Honda = Honda gear bag.
If I had to buy a new one it would be an Ogio.
Ogio 9800 roller bag.
Nigh indestructible.
I've got two that I've put through hell. They're close to 25 years old. Zippers wheels and the works still perfectly functional.
I asked the exact same question like two months back, if you search I'm sure you'll find it

I have an Ogio 9800 and it is good, but if I had to do it over again, I would get their Dozer. It has separate compartments for helmets, gear, and boots.
Ogio 9800 has been my go to but the last gear bag thread got me looking at an Ogio trucker bag and I have been using it for a month or so now and it seems to hold more that my 9800 with more separate compartments , and its cheaper than a 9800
Guys above might be and probably are correct. More current designs could well be better. Can attest to quality of the product line. I've got several Ogio backpacks as well with literally hundreds of thousands of miles on them. All intact, work as good as when new.
I couldn't find one that had the features I liked last time. My old Moose bag was great, dirty boots and chest protector in the bottom, whole thing hinged horizontally like a Pez dispenser. Top half is all the things like goggles and helmet you don't want with your dirty boots. Buckle straps in addition to zippers so you don't have to always fight a zipper.
Couldn't find that this time around, best I found was A-Stars with a vertical pocket for the boots on the end, and a large opening for the rest with dividers. Knee and neck braces in a divider, helmet gloves and goggles in another. Chest protector on top.
My Cortech bag fits my size 13 boots, xxl helmet, Mobius braces, soft shell and hard shell chest protectors, 3 pairs of goggles, kidney belt and 2 sets of gear. It’s full to the brim, but it all fits and I got it on sale for $90.
Ogio 9800
Thanks. I just ordered two of these.
I had some Rocky Mountain money to use, got one there gear bags I’ve been very happy with it, fits boots, 3-4 sets gear, helmet, bunch extra shit in side compartments, my goggle bag, has wheels.
Not sure if it’s too late, but someone on here had a 40% off code for ogio last month.
I’ve had mostly good luck with OGIO. I bought a 9800 almost 20 years ago. The plastic bottom blew out and broke after just 2-3 years of use. OGIO’s lifetime warranty didn’t mean shit to them when I contacted. They offered a discount to buy a new one. I just duct taped the shit out of the bottom to keep the wheels straight.
My Layover bag I bought at the same time and have used more often has held up great.
OGIO is good quality just don’t believe their advertised warranty.
Ogio 9800. I've had mine since 2018 and it still going strong. If you need more room than what a 9800 has than you're probably bringing too much junk IMO.
That was me. It was removed because evidently (and unbeknownst to me) it was a sponsorship code that I inadvertently discovered. It doesn’t work anymore… the pulp discount still works though.
To the point of this thread, the 9800 is the perfect bag for traveling with moto stuff. However, it’s overkill for just putting it in your truck and going to the track. I also have a much cheaper Fox 180 bag for that. Been using it for about 10 years and it was about $80 when I bought it.
While I do keep the helmet in its own bag I do keep everything else in my astars gear bag. I just keep a few trash bags in the bag to toss gear in if it's nasty.
all my shit goes in one big 9800 so i don't get to the track/mtn and realize i left my helmet or boots home
Pit Row
I use an old pillow case as my dirty clothes bag and throw it in the wash with the dirty gear. Rinse and repeat…
