What else is he going to say when they're trying to sign him to 250 deal? Saying you could isn't the same thing as putting the path in clear language in the contract. I'm assuming that's what the hold up has been last couple months.
The only way I see a 450 deal for him is if they give him a 3 year deal (2 years on a 250, 1 on a 450), or if he wins a 250 title then he locks in a 450 deal. Maybe that’s his hold up instead of just signing a traditional 2 year deal.
I was t really concerned about Shimoda; more about Kawasaki and its need for another rider.

Interesting nugget on the Pulp show this week, Mitch Payton said that PC almost had Shimoda back, but Honda apparently offered him something else to make him want to stay.. so sounds like maybe he inadvertently broke some news there. Maybe that path to a 450 is what sealed the deal? Jo said in an interview ealier on the same show, that still nothing signed, but the guys on the show were all congratulating him for holding out, since his value has gone way up since the beginning of the summer.

Kawasaki's best bet would be to get Ty on a 1-year deal. He is solid outdoors and would be fine indoors. They then dont have to throw stupid $ at a PC 250 rider to get them to move up.
I watched a pod where they said to get someone like Levi to move up, they would need to pay around 700k to even make it enticing for him, as with his 250 salary + win bonuses, he would be crazy to move up for anything less.
Ty doesn't have a ride, would obviously love to secure a factory ride and is a clean-cut kid. Could get him for even 300k and then next year make a solid play at an off-contract rider who will actually then allow them to have 2 competitive riders competing for the championship.
Prado and KTM. When we will see him riding again? He cant be off the bike 2-3 months anyway.
Feel so bad for Drake. He had such a promising career from the KTM TLD team. Illnesses are no joke.
