Is this going to be the Deegan 450 story

I don't  think the whole 450 class is going to gang up on him.  I think  it will be handled  on a 1 on 1 basis.  If he rides someone dirty, they will ride him rough back.

Think about who he will be racing against  in the 450 class though.  He won't  be racing 450SX until 2027.  I expect several of the veterans  of the class to be gone by then.

I will  not be surprised if a couple of the guys like Barcia and Anderson give him a little  hazing though if he gives them 1" of trouble.

In general  though, I think playing the heel will make it very difficult  to win titles  in the 450 class.

I don't think he's going to be ganged up on. But I can see the 450 guys racing him just a little harder than they normally would. Deegan could be faster than (insert rider name) but on a one lined sx track that guy can make it a little harder than normal for Deegan to pass him. After a bad start, a couple guys doing that to him will make all the difference in him getting towards the front. And he's not a great starter

I would be willing to bet money he doesn’t make it on the podium his first year in outdoors and supercross. After that he probably will, but I still don’t see him beating Jett much.

I disagree on that.  I definitely think he will get at least  one podium in 2026MX, and same for 2027SX.  I do not think that he will win a race though in his rookie 450 season unless Jett misses some races due to injury or whatever.  A lot of the veterans of the 450 class are going to be getting old (for SX) by January 2027.

Deegan is only 19 years old.  He will continue to get stronger and better.  I hope he also gets smarter.

Brian's Douchbag-centric marketing is played out. If Haiden was smart, he'd leave the rotten nest that his douchebag father built.

I just feel like baring injury, he can’t beat Jett and Hunter next year. That leaves 1 spot on the podium, and if Chase and Eli gel with their new bikes it is going to be hard. I put him battling with RJ, AP and maybe Prado outdoors. I’m not a fan anymore, but I am definitely not saying he isn’t very talented. I just don’t think it’s all going to click the first year.

Outdoor podiums for sure. Sx? Naw. I just dont think he has "it" when it comes to sx. He never wins a 450 sx title

deegan is completely insignificant to the top 450 guys, and not a single one of them has talked about him unless someone asked them, so the hype is all coming from other sources, but if he starts his shit in the 450 class, they will simply swat him into the weeds as easily as one swats a fly on the wall with a newspaper, and they will think nothing of it.

Yeah yeah another Deegan thread......

After seeing Levi take Haiden out and cost him a shot at the SMX title, could this be the start of a story we tell over and over? Do we see more guys putting one on Haiden, sending him over berms and costing him titles after years of the way he has acted towards the rest of the paddock and the somewhat "I don't care about or respect anyone else" attitude he has run. I don't see 450 guys taking too well to him.

Do we see him not reaching the potential number of titles that we expect because of interference of others? Haiden had pushed other guys around and Levi got him back when it mattered.

I feel like he has created more enemies on track along the way than we have seen previously from any athlete in a while.

I could see Jett out front and definitely Haiden and Hunter getting into it a lot. Both guys are a little pipey and aren't afraid to give it back. 2026 SX should be good....

Haiden will be 250 SX and 450MX in 2026.  They won't cross paths until outdoors...

Seems strange to me how emotional grown people get over the behavior of a home schooled 19 yr old MXer. There is more to life than hating a competitor and his family in a niche sport. Of course they are shit heads, what would make anyone think they wouldn't be, it has paid well so far hasn't it?

I need to know this lore. Holy shit. I was here for claim gate but admittedly stopped reading threads related to it after a few days. That’s insane Grinning

If the kid was such a badass he’d be lining up @ A1 on a 450.  But he isn’t so that makes him a chickendick in my book.  Sorry, a frail and stupid chickendick.

Kind of the same exact path as Jett though

Most doubted him going pro "get his ass handed to him in pro ranks." I remember comments like this on here.

So far he has answered the critics i dont see 450s being any different especially MX, he will struggle in SX but he will figure it out.

The first person that wont play nice will be Hunter.

Been following this sport for far too long to place too much stock in riders coming up through the ranks. This sport has chewed up and spat out so many prodigies so when Deegan started coming up my view was always “we’ll see”.

He delivered at every step and has done what so many have not been able to do but I still say “we’ll see”.

His personality still sucks though. 😁

Aren’t Deegan stats in the 250 class equal too or a little better than Jett’s 250 career?

Deegan does have the talent to compete up front in the 450 class.  I believe any of the riders would agree.
I am not a fan of his theatrics by any stretch but he is an incredible racer.
No doubt that none of the 450 riders will tolerate any of his crap talking or getting punted off the track.  Im willing to bet also that all of the 450 guys have this “earned” code amongst them.
Hoping Deegan can be his own person and mature up some.

You are shitting right? You do know about his social media numbers right? People on these threads hypothesizing about his thoughts, motives, religion, upbringing, parents, etc. Not saying everybody, but certainly a good number. As far as "weird shit" seems like you make a point to read it if you connect the name to the material, I thought the names were anonymous for a reason.

Webb won’t take it

Eli won’t take it

Anderson won’t take it

Barcia won’t take it

Mookie won’t take it

Hunter won’t take it

Jett won’t take it

RJ won’t take it

And probably more than that. He will learn some valuable lessons in the coming years.

Pretty sure Deegan’s 250 stars are comparable to jet’s. Like Chad Reed pointed out though, Jet is benifitting from thee majority of his 450 competition being in tbere 30s. Except from chase who cant seem to pull it together. Ricky raced younger Reed and Stewart in their primes. Then Reed races villa and dungey younger in their primes. Dungey and villa raced each other as well as tomac in their primes. What prime competition had Jett even raced against yet?

Evolution.   Jett is on another level thanks to the aforementioned riders that you cited.

Deegan is as well.

Different techniques but both are setting the bar.

I was there at Millville when Alessi debuted.

The kid led both motos and was killing it.   He ran out of gas the first moto.  -

Second moto had something happen as well.

Got to give credit where credit is due.

Id take Alessis career any day. The brothers were faster than any commenter  on this forum.
Grandpa Earl would back me up.

Besides his riding skills, he went out of his way to greet my 5 and 7 year old kids at A1 one year.

Total class act and my kids still talk about that experience 15 years later.

Jett was a rookie last year, and won the SX Championship. Unfortunately he got injured early this year and didn't complete the SX series but came back and won MX and SMX. 2026 we will start to see Prime Jett.

But he can only race those who line up, I would consider this prime Chase, and prime Aaron, just past-prime Cooper, Kenny, and Eli. With Hunter and Justin just coming into prime. RJ ? Although all of these guys are older than Jett, but you can't blame Jett for that.

If he doesn't change his approach, it will cost him titles, no doubt. If he's being disrespectful to half the field and talking trash the way he does, they could easily play a factor if/when he is in the run for a championship.

Pick racing for championships, or pick stirring the pot for attention/social media followers, or whatever reason they do that stuff for. I hope he does make some changes. He's super talented and an extremely hard worker, but to be the best in the 450 class you need to be dialed in between the ears too.

Reed is so jealous of the Lawrence’s getting all the hype he’ll say anything to try and stay relevant, was it him or his wife who piled on the boys about not inviting douche boy to the Aus SX?

Ahh yes the 450 story. The one where the young up and comer decimates his competition with sheer speed and grit. We’ve seen this time and time again.

I respect the hell out of Jett and Hunter, but the only one who has anything for Deegs is Deegs. He’ll be his own enemy at times, just like James Stewart.

Deegs will be the new Jett, just watch. And remember, I told ya so. These next 5 years are going to be something for the moto history books.

You’re dreaming kid. Never thought I’d be a Jett fan, but I know who I’ll be rooting for if Haiden manages to get remotely close.

That’s fine, but what will you do when/if Deegan proves you wrong? Will you be mad about it? Or will you enjoy it for what it is? Quit watching all together? I’m genuinely curious.

I will be fine if that happens, more so how will you handle it if he doesn't do well? Will you be ok ?
