What if it was Joe's collar bone that ended up being broken? We all like to see hard racing and protecting your lead but not purposely hunting down your opponent to take him out.
I don't have time to watch the whole thing. Can you give us a timestamp where Reed let's Stew by, then cuts across the track to take him out and instead breaks his own collarbone?
Perhaps you didn't notice, but in the events of the crash you mentioned, his bike hit a rider in the head as it flew over him, and as he sprinted over to it to rejoin the race, he didn't even glance back to see if that rider was okay.
It's fine, I suppose, for those who have grotesquely low expectations of what this sport is, what it should represent, and whose participation it should attract.

I am a fan, but man, what an idiot! He would have earned respect and probably won over a lot of the haters had he just gapped Jo for the moto win. He would have went home with $250k also. If Damon hadn’t choked in 92, Stanton would’ve done exactly what you call a “snooze fest.” Yet both riders would have been celebrated-Damon for the title, and Stanton for going out and doing what he could, without riding like an asshole, to put himself in position to win the title and let the chips fall where they may.
Real winners go out and win when they need to and don’t resort to bush league nonsense to win titles.
