I try my best to be consistent there. It's pretty clear that a lot of people here have trouble differentiating between someone giving an opinion versus stating a verified fact. I've been wrong and the good news is that all the non-moto lemmings get to downvote me whether I am right or wrong. 😅
"who cares" is a question, rhetorical or not. He posted that in a 10 page thread with people that care enough about it to post. So we're at the point where as long as you don't celebrate an assassination, it's ok to say it doesn't matter?
And no, preceding or following your gross comments with "but I care about children" doesn't make it any better. Who's to say anyone in here doesn't care about school shootings?
I’ve seen a number of my friends post on FB about Charlie, and I’ve never seen them post anything about a school shooting.
Would it be fair to say they don’t care about children, or they care about Charlie more than children?
No, of course not. That would be progressive thoughtcrime logic.

I see your point and disagree, and that’s okay.
I have IRL friends on Facebook celebrating this. It's really sad and ugly. This is turning people against each other like rabid dogs. People that are close to me saying they are glad this happened, and others understandably offended and angry.
Not trying to politicize this, but I asked ChatGPT to rank Newsom, Biden and Kirk regarding which of them has more often advocated for violence against political opponents:
Direct answer — who has more often advocated violence against political opponents
1. Gavin Newsom — Based on publicly documented quotes, he has recently used explicit, literal physical-violence language directed at political opponents (the “punch these sons of bitches in the mouth” line is a clear example). Multiple outlets highlighted this as notable escalation in tone. CNN Transcripts+1
2. Joe Biden — Has a few isolated, explicit physical-violence lines in his past (notably the “behind the gym / beat the hell out of him” comment), but these appear infrequent, often framed hypothetically or later regretted/qualified, and are not a persistent pattern in his recent major speeches. ABC News+1
3. Charlie Kirk — Most of the publicly documented material shows inflammatory, absolutist, and sometimes extremist rhetoric (racialized language, “culture war” fighting metaphors, defense of aggressive policies), but I did not find repeated, clearly attributable instances where Kirk himself explicitly told people to physically assault named political opponents in the same way Newsom’s and Biden’s literal lines do. His rhetoric is dangerous in other ways, but typically framed as metaphorical, ideological, or policy-provocative rather than direct personal assault advocacy (based on the sources checked).
Bottom line: judging solely by the frequency of clearly literal, physical-violence phrasing in the public record, Newsom currently has the most and most recent documented instances, Biden has a few isolated past examples, and Kirk — while highly inflammatory in other respects — does not, in the sources I checked, show the same pattern of explicitly advocating that people be physically punched or beaten.
Prayer vigils for Charlie Kirk have been popping all around the country:

And even outside of the US:
And then you have these 2 fellas who showed up to a vigil in Seattle. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOeqDEpEnNB/
Truly sad. Charlie would say when we replace speech with violence we get Civil War. I'm afraid our society is in serious trouble.
That sure breaks my heart...
I have no idea if its true but it is being said that people are getting fired over their comments on social media.
See this "guy" https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOeqDEpEnNB/ Seems staged, but a lot of the online celebrations of Charlies death just seem really unreal to me even though they are.
They caught the shooter.
Ooh what a couple tough guys.... 🙄 $100' says neither one of those dipshits has ever been punched in the face. By their logic it would be perfectly acceptable for me to shoot them in the face because I don't like what they stand for or what they're promoting. God I hope those guys run into the wrong (right) guy today. "Oh you like violence do ya ? Cool check this out" whammo uppercut right into next week.
ps Just between us in here, if some dickwad puts his phone in my face like that I'm grabbing it and heaving it as far as I can, those guys got some balls on em I'll give em that
Some sage advice on how to treat each other from Charlie Kirk
https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1ENWaNbh41/?mibextid=wwXIfr
It isn’t surprising who the father is honestly. We, as parents can be the best examples for our children. Try our best making sure their needs are met. Both in a physical sense and, emotional.
Between social media, their peers and, everything else outside our control when they’re outside the household, they’re still subjected to other influences.
At a certain point, they start forming their own opinions. I’ve watched my son and, daughter grow up. I did my best as did, my wife. Now, all we can do is hope they were paying attention to the positive examples rather than the garbage going on in the rest of the world.
Your consistency didn't prevent you from misrepresenting Kirk's stance on the 2nd Amendment a couple pages back. You did that because you formed an opinion about someone's views based on what someone else was telling you instead of going to the source.
Maybe lay off criticizing other people's inability to differentiate opinion from fact until you get a better handle on it.
Damn.... Thanks for that. That really is a must watch to get a glimpse of the man Charlie was.
Pit Row
Yeah he's no different than Stephen King:
Seth also said Charlie Kirk continually put black people down and hated on gays. Meanwhile, take a look and listen to one of Charlie's best friends:
Unfortunately people are desensitized to the school shootings. Soon they will be to the "political" violence. The same we are with the killings in major city's.
This isn't good on any level and I hope many people wake up and get a grip. If Charlie passing is the spark then so be it.
Fair, and I have not thought about it that way
RIP Charlie.
Not a huge fan of his takes, but he opened the floor to anyone, welcoming discussion from everyone, regardless of their beliefs. He never responded with hate; he stood up for what he believed in, and it got him killed. Absolutely sick world we live in.
Tried to tell you all and got a bunch of thumbs down..... maybe next time someone makes a relatively easy shot with a rifle people won't start speculating that it's a professional just because they haven't done it themselves? Probably the same people that think assault rifles are a thing and ARs are "high powered"
Saw a ton of comments in the last couple days on IG/Twitter such as “take one of ours, we’ll take two of yours” and one person flat-out saying “KILL THE LEFT”. Shit, my father-in-law posted RIGHT LIVES MATTER on Facebook with an all-red background. And I saw all of these before the suspect was even identified. This country is so divided by politics man, it’s insane.
I think a couple people are just down voting every post in this thread merely because of it's existence at this point.
That's gone on since day 1 of the thumbs system.
Thumbs is dumb...
