Didn't look like he was waving the red flag yet though. If the lights were on, that's one thing. But the angle they showed you couldn't see the red lights. I agree that I'd petition it. If they have footage that shows the red lights, so be it, but if not, they should nix those penalties.
This is consistent. If you jump on a red cross, you get 5 points penalized. If you pass someone on a red flag, you get 5 points and a position.
This just happened like 2 or 3 weeks ago, same penalties. I'd argue that there should be more flexibility in the penalties depending on circumstance, but they are following the current rule book.

I thought that too. Saw Jets bike is dirty but assumed that’s because of the storm but why are the 250s not clean? They’d be outside with the washers before the storm came in.

I’m really curious why none of the bikes got washed. There was plenty of time for the 250s to do their usual prep routine. Anybody have an idea what’s up with that? 450’s are still dirty too.
This is not consistent. This and last year in SX there were different occasions were riders were penalized for either 2 points, 5 points, 2 positions, even 4 or 5 positions, also red cross flag btw.

With how broken down the track was earlier by the start of 450 moto 1. I feel anyone can win 450 moto 2 with the weather having softened and muddied the track up.
I think Tomac is my pick. Its a real shame Plessinger is out. He would probably be the favourite.

I guess what bothers me about the 80%…or even managing a lead. It implies everyone else is at 100%. It’s more like 90% vs 91%. Otherwise we would see a smoking qual lap 20 seconds faster than anyone else. We don’t. Chase probably felt trying to catch Jett had a little risk and second is as good as first if you win the last moto. It is stupid and disrespectful to other top riders to imply Jett is 20% better than everyone else. Now…is he 1-2%better? Sure…you can argue that. 20%? You’re ball gargling at that point.
The lighting at the drags strip would light up the track well. I know they wouldn’t run it with the lights on but would be cool to see a night race on the circuit again
