Either way, good for Craig’s career.

If WSX was around before, we could of seen so many greats continue racing instead of retiring at 27

Like who? Any of the guys you list could have done a sx only deal in the states.

yes could have.. but the burn out is why these guys retire.. the meat grinder of testing, training and racing so much.. Look at Tomac, Anderson...

yes could have.. but the burn out is why these guys retire.. the meat grinder of testing, training and racing so much.. Look at Tomac, Anderson, barcia, webb, Brayton, Roczen, Wilson, McEllrath, Joey Sav etc.. Not always rides in America with new youth coming through as we are seeing now with Tomac.

i dare say if riders like Dungey & Rv2 had the chance to slow down on the grind towards the end of their career and go make the same salary in a handful of racers over doing a full season. it would of Happen, like we are starting to see the transitions begin now with Kenny, Tomac and Webb..

Rc and RV said on title 24 they both wish they had that option when they raced and would of been around longer.

Not sure that RC would have been sticking around longer. He was motivated to begin his car racing career at that point and was working on getting a development ride in ARCA/NASCAR, which is a grind.

Then again I guess it shouldnt have came as a surprise seeing how factory teams weigh PR and social media presence heavier than race day results now

CC can make some good money and post some solid results in WSX and take him into SX!

I hope he’s able to do all of sx, mx and smx next year.

Bro, a lot of people shit on Craig but he was really good whenever he had a fill in 450 ride. He was a consistent top 5 guy outdoors on both the 450 Honda and 450 Star Yamaha and then had a dominant 250 SX season. He definitely deserved that Husky spot, sadly it went downhill from there and the elbow injury didn't help him on top of that, let's be honest.

If you were only talking about his latest star contract though, then you're absolutely right of course!

Btw, didn't Dylan had the option for one more year at Star but declined in the end because he wasn't happy?

The 450 class is now called SX1? Who asked for that?

I guess I fail to see how it’s slowed down for anyone with WSX around. We haven’t had anyone do only wsx not ama. Maybe I am just missing your point.

SX plus WSX is great money and way less stress on the body if you skip outdoors.

Who gives a shit about these types of announcements. These dudes are racers, get out there and start racing instead of posting on Instagram! Moto doesn't need a made up drama storyline like the Deegan's push for clicks and clout.

I get that and agree with it. It’s even less stress to just do 17 ama sx races and not add 6 wsx races. That’s my point. Any of the sports greats could do a JB10 schedule if they wanted to. I just don’t see how wsx helps in the situation the fella presented.

I’m pretty sure that he wanted to race so badly that he left one of, if not the best team in the sport right now.

So he will not be lining up this weekend for SMX in the LCQ ? I wonder if his deal will be for 26 as well on a Honda ?

Not racing SMX, first day on the Honda tomorrow. Sounds hopeful to also sign a deal for 2026 but nothing as of now.

Good interview from today here: https://pulpmx.com/podcast/fxr-one-on-one-christian-craig/

I’m sure Craig’s contractual demands were far more reasonable than Ferrandis’

Pure speculation.

Two 250 west SX titles, a 250 mx title, and a 450 mx title might do that!!

Yaa Star offered Dylan a deal for 2024 and he went with PHX Honda because he couldn’t gel with the newer generation Yamaha outdoors, but he was on the podium a ton in ‘23 outdoors on that new Yamaha whereas he hasn’t been on the podium outdoors with the Honda 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Craig was posting riding for a while during the week and was obviously still working his ass off it was obvious he wanted to race.

Sort of a weird deal especially after Cooper Webb got hurt, they were bringing a bike and a mechanic to a race every weekend yet he wasn't able to race. He was sort of helping the 250 guys but not training Deegan like he was originally meant to and he wasn't racing, he probably felt like he was kind of stuck in a bit of purgatory in that deal with his racing career ticking away.

Smartest guy in Pro Mx…getting paid to hang out & flex his tats while not risking anything…..take it easy on this guy, skills for days…..didn’t he hang out at a construction site for a few days?

You’re right. These posts should be shared in some sort of motocross focused forum to be discussed by fans of the sport, not to be shared with the public to fulfill contractual obligations.

Listen to the Pulpmx interview he just did, https://pulpmx.com/podcast/fxr-one-on-one-christian-craig/

He said Star would only let him ride one day a week as they did not want to have to spend any money on bike maintenance, He also said he was in a training role for the 250 guys and, if i heard him right  said "only 2 out of 12 guys listened to him"

There's a chip there, I can see it.
