Reed will still have the points lead no matter what happens tonight, so as long as he's able to beat KW the rest of the season he can sit this one out. Sounded nasty though so who knows, as much as he annoys me in interviews I like seeing the guy ride and wish he was out there.

if Chad can ride at all and even roll out of the gate he can use a provisional and get 1 point.

He has 2 of them and it's obvious Honda isn't going to help K-dub, I say Hill wins tonight or Millsaps.

Hope it's not serious. Reed may not be my favorite rider, but he is pretty darn tough. For him to sit out he's definitely hurting.

As far as KW goes, he's been right there with Reed speed wise, even had the fastest lap in Dallas. Was faster then Milsaps or Hill for sure, just couldn't make the pass happen. I'd say he's got a good shot at the win tonight.

A source with Live Nation told us that they expect Reed to attempt to salvage some points tonight, maybe even going with a provisional start. (A 21st place finish still scores one point.) While the official wasn't sure exactly what the nature of the injury is, he did speculate that it was his scapula, which is the shoulder. As it stands, he has a 27-point lead over Kevin Windham.

This will add some great drama to the last few races if CR is back next week, but possibly sore enough to not smoke everyone.


Wouldn't it be great for the fans to see the SX series come down to the wire at the last race without a big point lead.


Not that Im glad for anyone to get hurt, just looking at the bright side.

The unfortunate side for the fans will be if he shows up tonight to race hurt the fans will be forced to hear Ralph call CR "the grittiest rider" 65 more times during the hour broadcast.

I'm not a Reed fan but I hate to see anyone hurt. I hope he will be ok. It will definately make the title chase more exciting now.

Championships are hard to win. Betting that someone doesn't win one the odds are ridculously high in you're favor so if Lenny takes the bet.....he probably only should put up half a cent to get in on the action?
