What is the difference in horse power stock from 2 to 4 stroke 250's?

Just picked up our first 250 Two stroke for my younger son (he's 16). Man that bike is smoking fast. He has been out of it for the last year (trying to figure out if riding is really what he wanted). Last bike he was on was a RMZ250. He was smiling ear to ear after his first ride back...

Well, We found out why the bike would not start. The fuel pump cracked in half inside the tank. We tried to order one but, They are on back order from Kawasaki. Has anyone else had this issue yet? Does anyone know of a dealer that has one on the shelf? We are in the middle of some good contingency...

How did the race go? where would I find the results page? Sounds like it was a really good race with alot of pro's stopping by after Redbud on the off weekend.

Are these bikes about the same? We are trying to decide which 450 to buy and it has come down to these two. Any input would be appriciated. I haven't totally ruled out Honda. I just don't have any exsperience with 450's. We've been on tiddlers and 250f's.

Just curious. RC= GOAT MC= King Everts= King (euro version) Does or did Reed have a nick name (maybe in Aus)?
