Prado has been taking lessons from MotoGP riders Jorge Martin. He is current world champion and went to Aprilia.. just to crash everytime with bike and then he told he wont ride for them 2026. Aprilia told they have contract and he will ride. After long s... show Martin is back with Aprilia and will stay 2026 even had contract offers from other teams ready. Dont know what happened behind doors.

In the press release Prado commented: “The Pro Motocross season has come to an end, and while it wasn’t the year I expected, I’m still thankful for the experience. Coming into the season, my goal was to battle for the championship, win races, and earn podiums, and even though things didn’t go as planned, I learned a lot along the way. It was a challenging season, but challenges make you stronger. Now I’m focused on taking those lessons, figuring things out with the team, and coming back ready to fight at the front again.”

After this year, why would any team hire this guy? Not even results-wise, but just how he has no accountability. JT said he blocked roost with his hand at one of the rounds. On what planet is that giving 100%? Dude's delusional.

To do so could expose them to possible legal action from each other or the contracted rider.

I’m no lawyer, but from the little I know about rider contracts, Prado disparaging his team bike on his own IG page may cost him.

It’s my opinion that riders at this level should not manage their own social media accounts- an emotional Jorge putting that up was a huge mistake IMO.

To that end, whomever manages Jorge should have handled this situation in a more professional manner.

Does anyone know who his USA management is? I sure hope it’s not family…

Maybe it was his X girl friend that posted it or who knows . Super easy to create an account under anyone’s name .  Maybe he signed a rider walk a way contract. Like a truckers walk away lease if the money is a negative. You walk away legally.

FWIW.. that "Dirtbikelover" just posts shit without any actual credible sources or confirmations. I'm almost certain whoever runs that page just listens to podcasts, cherry picks headlines and makes a post to get views. Not like anyone is going to stop it.. there's near zero moderation of this type of content on social media.

💯!  Whomever runs it, takes bits and pieces from everywhere including Vurb Moto and reposts it as their own with no credit.  Often that Dirtbikelover's posts & tweets are outright yellow journalism too.

Americans get armpump when they're fading on an uncomfortable bike. Spaniards are lazy f#^{s when they fade riding an uncomfortable bike.

I believe him when he says it’s the bike, (we all know the bike is fine) but if he thinks it’s off then in his mind it is.  I picture him racing around like Cole Trickle in “Days of Thunder”.

The best thing for him right now is to get on a different brand.

I agree.  If he believes that the bike is gonna kill him if he tries to push...then it doesn't matter what others can do with that machine.

Sexton felt that way about the Honda...just maybe not as vocal.  Up at the front... that last 5% is between the ears for all those guys.  Every brand is capable of winning...with a rider that's digging it.

Big difference. Sexton doesn't ride like a pussy when the set up is off. He still rides his ass off.

If I was Kawi I would be doing everything I could to get Harrison on a factory bike for SMX and still force Prado to race.

That would be interesting, what if his finishes were worse?

I mean I agree it would be hard to hire him after showing his true character, but you kind of couldn’t lose as a manufacturer if you hired him right now. You’d get him wayyy cheaper than he was worth a year ago for one. If he comes into form, you can say look how much better our bike is. If he stills sucks, it’s that he just sucks.

All I know is he’s put a ton of pressure on himself to have good results next year if he’s on a different brand. All the comments about “if he was on another set-up” he would be winning. IMO he would’ve been better off trying his best, getting top 10 each week (think we all can admit he’s capable of that even with a bad set up) and just give some canned answers like “we are working towards it”. Now anything less than constant podiums and a win or two will be a complete disaster

Them not getting the bike figured out for him for the entire season is on him….and now we have seen what members of the team think about him…that ain’t arm pump….If I were Kawi I would either suspend him without pay or just fire his ass…apparently there is only an “I” on team Prado….

Get Tomac on a Honda with Gilly as his suspension guy, let’s take it back to ‘15!

Tomac to phoenix honda would be sick! Its clear they have the capacity to run at the highest level with Eli, He can have his personal deals to bring in the extra $ and he can make that bike as quick as he wants!

Do you guys remember when Herlings came here and went 1-1 on a track and bike he’d never even ridden. Lmao I think kawi should let him come do a round and show ole dude how it’s done 😆

I think that's kind of a burnt bridge maybe - I do not believe he works with eli any longer in that capacity. He is the star team guy and I remember seeing that the tomac camp didnt appreciate that. I did gather that on here so it could be total nonsense.

Surely you know the difference between letting off the gas and pulling over, vs. fading with arm pump.

Captain obvious here but ultimately this'll only be truly solved (exonerated or further condemned) by what Prado does in the future. If he switches teams and does well then all will be forgotten whether anyone likes it or not, and it'll be egg on Kawasaki's face (plus increased leverage for any future rider that perhaps also doesn't like the bike). If the opposite then Jorge will be the one looking ridiculous. I'm not saying criticisms on both sides aren't appropriate - I'm just speaking to the obvious optics.

To be fair, I think a lot of people expected him to battle between the 3-5 range outdoors in year 1 with the outliers being within the top 10. Clearly that's not what happened.

I would be all over him for a performance based contract. A 24 year old 4 time world champion that is not injured who you can have for peanuts would be to much to not take a risk on.

I was present at the GP in Arnhem last weekend and for the last mx1 race i was standing at a small straight part with bumps that got more knarly throughout the race (duh) . Looking at all the different bikes coming through i must say the KTM and the honda's look pretty damn solid through those, Yamaha's/Fantic's seem to have some wild feedback (fantic did seem to have it figured out better) and all of the kawa's do seem to want to kick the riders of those bikes..

Rear end's coming/kicking up from out of the bumps , Romain makes it work because he is a damn manice (so it seems)..

Allthough this, from my knowedgle a rider itself does have a lot of influence on this of course...

P.S, i still think prado is a whimp because he seems to think hi is entitled to podiums or so.. Get your shit together and ride it like you stole it

You are not a champion in my eyes! Thank you for nothing! Reply 14 dinobambino43 10h Also everyone on this team worked endlessly to help you and we did not give up like you. Sorry but not sorry. 14"

If he starts podiuming on another brand, then Kawi will cop it.

But he probably be hard pressed to make it through SX anyways to lineup healthy for Outdoors
