I have enough functioning brain cells that I can appreciate what he does on a bike while also thinking he's a counterproductive tool most of the time while off of it. It's not that complicated. He could kick a baby and you'd get on here and argue that the rest of us are just too soft to kick babies and it's actually good for the sport that there's someone willing to kick babies.

He'll get humble when he gets to the 450s and he's consistently finishing behind Jett, Chase, Hunter , and Eli if he's still racing .
I think he's a top 5 guy outdoors next year but I also think his 250 outdoor accomplishments have been against fairly weak competition the last 2 years. Go look at top 10 in points this year and last, not another guy there that's even being talked about as ready to move up other than vialle, and his team had so little confidence in him that they low balled him and pushed him back to mxgp instead.
I'm obviously just a hater for pointing this out though.
I’ve heard Deegs absolutely rails on the 450 from someone who would know. To the point they were shocked. Expect him to be up front battling Jett. Like him or hate him, I’m just pumped for some good racing.

Without going and looking race by race I’d guess his and Jett’s 250 SX career is pretty similar.
So the guy that goes up to a kid and shouts out the kids youtube channel has zero class? Haiden has some class, he just doesn't show it often, you have to look for it. He respects his competition first, then starts chirping at them.
Do they plan to move him up for sx? Or stick to the plan of defending the title then moving up for outdoors?
Be beat hunter his rookie year a few times in outdoors, and he's much better now than he was then. I think when haiden gets to hunter at some point, he may beat him, but time will tell.
You sound like the guys saying he wouldn’t do anything as a pro. I dunno how you can watch him ride and think he’s not going to be great on a 450.
Jett’s approach is so much better than Deegans. He has the whole act humble but just ooze confidence thing down. I honestly wasn’t a huge Jett fan at the start, but man he just keeps winning me over.

To those who say he needs to be humbled, he seems more humble here. Looks like he stopped on the side of the road to say hi to these kids and talk with them for a little bit. He does have some respect and humility in him, you just need to look for it.

I actually think Deegan is a good kid, his tough guy act seems so forced. It’s just obvious that he thinks he needs to start drama, and I mean I can’t argue that it has worked for him so far. Not my style though. I feel like part of that is Brian (who I also think is actually a good guy too). Deegan is good enough that he doesn’t need to do it though, Brian wasn’t.
Deegan looked like a scared little kid when Jett rocked up.... But I'll give it to him he was actually reasonably realistic when asked about competing in the 450's next year admitting he has some work to do etc
They are. Jett might have one more race win with the same amount of 250 sx starts. Its the eye test for me. Its how much more fluid and comfortable Jett is on a sx track. It just comes more naturally to him.
They definitely ride with different styles but there’s more than one way to go fast. Jett has been much better in MX vs SX too.

Some people are saying he was against weak competition - not so sure about that, he beat RJ Hampshire a lot, beat Hunter a few times, and those guys are doing pretty well in 450MX.

Would make sense. It’s stars best chance at two SX regional titles. Why would they have them compete against each other.
The top of the 450 class is looking more and more like the 250 class from a couple years ago. I see no indication that he will not do well on a 450. Just depends on how long. I'd say no more than a year.
Yeah no for sure! There’s so many current 250 guys that have won 99% of the races they’ve entered.
Sarcasm aside, Deegan has a lot to learn if he wants to win in the premier class. Not saying he can’t but he’s nowhere near the front of the pack yet. Unless you also think Davies, Shimoda, Hymas, Kitchen etc. all could be 450 winners right now, you’re just being a fan boy.
