Heading to Monster Mountain Thursday and Need Advice....

Guys,
Me and my buddies are leaving from Chicago and driving down to MM on Wednesday. Are there any tracks that you know of that are open on the way down to Alabama? Thanks in advance.....

Kinda close but Mill Creek. Rode both when we were down there and to be honest we had more fun at MC. Such a fun track.

+1 for Mill Creek. Also really recommend going to Barber Motorsports Museum outside of Birmingham. Its a one of a kind facility

Can't help with the before but if you go a little south towards Panama City there's a fun track called County Line MX. Last I knew it was a training facility for Canadians but is open to the public. I think TeamGreen has some type of connection with the place, not really sure though.

Been to MM three times but only rode once because of rain. You'll understand when you get there why.

Mill Creek is great, but you probably won't be able to ride there Thursday/Friday. You can try Sand Mtn MX in Alabama or Mclarty Mx. They are both just a little out of the way but they may let you ride on a weekday. Fast Farms in TN is another you could try.

Like posted above, fast farms is opening during the week now. Just look em up on fb. Mclarty is racing this weekend and practice on sunday.

Big Springs is a good track in the Monster Mountain area, Shorter Mx is a great practice track near Monsters

We stopped by Shorter mx one year while in town to ride monster and it looked like a good sandy track on a day monster might be rained out.

My advice would be to put gas in your friggin bike before you ride. Also Riverside MX, shorter or sand mountain.

Hidden Valley MX north of Memphis was always fun. It's been about 5 years since I've been there though.

Sweeny MX track in Park Hills, MO is another good stop.

I had a great time at MM in January.
The only other track we hit on the way down was Sand Mountain which I believe is open every day.

Never got a video of Sand Mountain but here's one of MM

Hey check out echo Valley in Kentucky we normally stop by there on our way down to monster every year. Decent track. It's better then joliets back track but I'd say Casey's classic track or byron are a little better.

Shorter MX and War Eagle are all very close to MM. MillCreek can be good just depends on how/if it gets done up for the weekend.

We've stopped at echo valley on the way down or back from monster mountain from Illinois. Its a nice little moto track. Nothing crazy there track wise. Good place to have a good moto before hammering down at monster.

I came with the same advice as every one else. Fast Farms is a sick track. Sand Mountain is good and where I go ride more than anywhere because it's accessible / open every weekend. You might could even give Billy a call and see if he will let you ride during the week. He's let a few of us ride Mondays. McClarty is right up the road from Sand Mountain and probably a better / more fun track but I think they've only been riding on Saturdays lately. All worth checking out

Sweeny MX track in Park Hills, MO is another good stop.

You brought me back with the Hidden Valley mention. Sweeneys is great Matt is an awesome guy and amazing in a dozer.

It would definitely be a whole wkd thing. But, i assumed the track would only be open a single day. I wouldnt make the drive down and back on same day. Id go down on friday and come back on Sunday most likely. I will have to do some schedule checking and find the right time to go.
