What I find funny about neck braces is that the first ones that came out were so restrictive that you could hardly turn your head while wearing them. The new ones allow a lot more movement but at that point how much protection are they offering? Seems to me the older versions offered more protection but to get more riders to buy them they had to reduce the protection offered to where now there probably isn't a lot of difference between wearing and not wearing them.

Weird foreshadowing of the crash itself too. Francois Cevert had an insane crash (in the same spot) going over 100+ / flipping, etc. was fine & joking about it with his friends back at the truck. The next day, Jochen crashed right in front of him (going ~80) & died. The severity of everything hit him like a brick wall. Fast Forward to the Glen in '73, Francois (of whom was about to replace his mentor Jackie Stewart & get his Championship winning seat for '74) unfortunately ripped through a guardrail going over 200+km/h. Two more random sad facts that...

Revving the crap out of a two stroke isn’t the way to ride one fast. Keeping it in the meat of the powerband is the key and that includes not revving it too much. Modern fourstrokes actually rev higher than two strokes and when I watch a guy like Barcia on a two stroke all I see is over revving. Same as when I see other modern pros ride 125’s, they just scream the crap out of it not going anywhere. Listen to old videos of Stewart on a 125, yes he has it pinned, but he’s also always shifting...

The mx track at lazy springs should suit you pretty well. Kinda far from Orlando though. Thats just the problem in Florida now, everything is shutting down and it takes 2-3 hrs to get most places if you are central. *Bostwick also closes for the summer

Electric bikes should be the least of our worries by 2035. Electrical curfews, blackouts and sky high utility bills are just the tip of the ice berg. Californians, you think the drought is bad now? Wait until they’re using 500,000 gallons of grade A H2O to mine these batteries. And let’s not forget about the 10 year life span, and the amount of batteries in landfills, landfill fires and who knows what else. Buckle up boys, the only thing green about this movement is the politicians pockets.

Picked up a project bike. Its an 05, looks to be in good shape other than needing to be put back together. All the parts it came with seem original and low hour. Ive never built a bike a bike %100 through, so It will be a learning experience to tackle the suspension and putting the bottom end together...

Last hiccup on the bike that was probably causing my surging issue. Noticed when replacing the ring. No idea how long it was like this but seems it is a common problem for these power valve pins to rattle out. The power valve had been completely useless for who knows how long lol. The original pins would not stay...

That was my last practice of the day. Afterwards radiator was smashed on the 250. I was pretty sore, probably had a broken rib, but I spent way too much money to not race lol I tried to source another radiator with no luck, so only one other option. YZ125 was at home and ready to rip. With help from...

Next chapter of the build.. Racing! So I raced DITD this year for the first time, and what a time it was! I had only brought my 250 since there was only a 2 stroke open class and not one for 125s only. I also raced B 25+ so i def needed that extra power. But as fate...

Well the time finally arrived. I like to live in chaos I guess so why not trade a perfectly sound CRF450R for the unknown of a 2019 125?! When I made the trade I took a minute to silently enjoy my habit of not starting or riding a newly acquired trade/purchase. Back in 2015 I bought a 2004 Honda CR125R in Columbus Ohio. The bike was clean. It ran in the parking lot of Iron Pony Motorsports and that was that. A week later when I got around to messing with it I started it and let it idle. Idle...

First mods that went on the bike, a loud mouth kit i had from my other yz and a new v-force 4 reed. Unfortunately this is where jetting woes started. Bike had a terrible surge in the mid range. Never notice it on wide open sandy tracks but trying to ride ruts was difficult to modulate the power...

Thanks for following man. I'll try to get some up to date pictures. Idk why i let this go, I've done some pretty major upgrades since I left off. I fixed the issues with the oil leak and bike was pretty solid after that. I'll dig through whatever i can find on my phone and post it for now.

I still need to get to motobros! Took a month and a half off riding, but I rode 4 times in the past two weeks. I liked following this build when it was current, I’m trying to do a KTM without spending a ton of money, I’ve really enjoyed hunting for the deals and the feeling you get when you score a good deal. Hope the YZ is still going strong!

Bartow would have been excellent on this bike, and I never got around to take it there 😥. But that's what I love most about this bike, tracks that aren't really fun/challenging with more power are completely different and fun on the 125.

From someone who’s actually a Florida native, the Villages can go fuck themselves times a million. That whole community is paving over every cattle field we have in Central Florida. It would be a better state without them and they should take all their STDs back to where they came from.
