So who is funding the contract. Looks like Monster Energy broke the news with star strapped on!
Monster Energy 65%
Star racing 35%
Just heard on the World MX podcast that some recent retirees of the sport are going to race the futures class next year.
Hannah and Lechein and perhaps Ward are going to race 250 B and schoolboy at the Coal Miners Daughter race next year.
C’mon Deegs, Go battle the best because you are at that level.
I like Davies also and agree that he is an excellent rider that will challenge Deegs and Jett in the upcoming years but one cannot say that Deegs would be a contender next SX450 season.
Must be my age, I am happy to see him get beat on a 250 (275..ouch) but would be cheering that dude on in the 450 class.
All that matters is the Hype and the

Hard disagree on him maturing 😂
I don’t follow college ball but don’t college QBs typically play four years before entering the draft? Is it really any different than doing four years in 250SX?
I guess it depends if youre ready to compete at the next level. Deegs is ready.
hard to argue that.
Iirc, Kevin Garnett played 6 years of college ball, had a below level pro career. Probs should have played another year in college.
No. If you're good enough to move up and are eligible based on nfl rules you go pro. Would be insane for first round draft pick to choose to stay in college. Nfl mandates 3 years out of high school before nfl eligible. Most high level college players enroll early and take summer classes and graduate in three years. There's been players go to college for two years and basically take a year off to workout instead of playing third year of college 250 class ball.
Bottom line is there's no sport I'm aware of where someone who is eligible to move to the highest level and who will be competitive at that level chooses to stay at the lower level. In most cases the finances also encourage the move and with moto that's not so obvious (wish it was....) but surely Deegan wouldn't be taking a pay cut to move up, especially if you include the extra chances for win bonuses he believes he'll be in contention for.
Like I said, I understand why he made the choice he did, but if you don't think a big part of the motivation for making the decision isn't the fact that they know he isn't actually ready to beat Jett and Chase you're just not being honest about this.
Would be total non issue if he had ounce of humility in him and showed the proper respect to those guys, admitted he's not ready instead of trying to sell it as some 4D chess jedi business move. Or if he had the mental fortitude to take his lumps for the sake of the learning experience like Blair suggested. But none of that is reality and that's not the Deegan way so here we are.
He's in for a shock racing with the big boys who give no fucks.
Talent and speed wise he is there.
Now his belittling his peers, that wont fly in the 450 class.
He will mature eventually.
Have you not seen that he hasn’t talked trash in recent weeks? I’m sure he will when he loses, notice how he hasn’t talked trash to jo or when he wins?
Dude give it a rest already. The rules state he doesn’t need to move up. It’s clear as day he could use another year in SX. I would like to see you give up a million dollars because some turd on Vitalmx thinks you should move up. I’m not even the biggest Deegan fan but man you’re out of touch with reality. You don’t give up then kind of money just because. 450 class isn’t going anywhere.
The Deegan hate runs deep with you. You must be running for president of the Deegan-hate fan girl club. Going to be tough to beat Paul333, but you got a good shot at it.
I keep hearing people say this, and it's stupid. They said it about Barcia. They said it about Friese...and the "big boys" did nothing.
Haiden will be in the 250 class the same amount of time Jett was. 🤡
Kevin Garnett went straight from high school to the pros and is in the hall of fame lol
This isn't as complicated as you want it to be.
Deegan talked shit about a class he isn't willing to go race. He chose the class that he said there's no competition left for him. The decision isn't the issue, him running his mouth once again is..... You don't have to be a hater to mock that.
The fan boys can't even let themselves admit that that part isn't a great look and can't resist taking the bait even when I tell you I'm mostly trolling you.
Pit Row
You guys seem to be focused only on Deegan and Deegan's intentions and motivations, but there's another party to that contract and Yamaha probably sees value in having #1 plates in both the 250 and 450 classes next year. Webb and Cooper will represent well in the 450 class and Deegan and Davies will be favorites to win titles on their respective regions.
Do you think Vialle shouldn’t have defended his title this year then? Would love to hear your opinion on that!
I’ll wait till Deegs is on the cover of Racer X saying “my whole life is about May 23rd”
He isn’t willing to race? Thats why he signed a 450 deal? Lmfao you’re something else man. Kid wants to defend his title like nearly every other 250 title winner. Give it a rest and enjoy some racing this weekend
How ironic coming from the president of I take every inch as Deegan grows fan girl club. Wipe your mouth, its disgusting!
Did he have a lucrative multi year 450 deal sitting there for him to sign last off season if he wanted to?
Star should sign a 3rd 450 for SX only. Unless they want to pull CC out of the basement dungeon
Yep. They're gonna need it.
Did Deegan? Is there something you know that we don’t?
I think we all know that HD38 is the most valuable commodity after Jett.
In fact, I'd say it's REAL close now, and will likely surpass Jett with ease when it comes to valuation pretty quickly if he makes any dent in the 450s.
HD38 is a fast, marketers dream. If you don't think he had basically his pick of offers to counter, you are just being obtuse because you don't like some words he said once.
🍎's & 🍊's...
Definitely ready enough, but could probably much readier with another season of 250SX under his belt.
