I really enjoyed this, the banter has been fun.. the last one Steve was close, I think with some more technique practice he could have gotten one!

Good to see Steve seems to be keeping in shape compared to a few years ago👍

I would have liked to seen a bit more test starts but understand time was short. Great that Honda actually allowed this and is so open 👍

I think Steve's feedback will be bike was fast as fuck, didn't dare to go all out 😂

He actually cleaned up his jumps, the problem was not staying on the gas to the stripe. That’s should be the easiest part, I don’t get it. This is coming from a fellow washed up +40 dude BTW. Maybe Lars forgot to hit “the button”!?!

That vid gave me some great chuckles, props to all involved, especially the Lawrences for being out there and razzing him. Fun stuff!

We definitely need more of this.  Even better if some of the pros would get involved somehow, but I'm guessing they have too much to lose.  I think McGrath did at least one of these at King of the Motos this year.  So can we get him vs Emig during SX next year?

Sounds like they were under pressure to end this thing, but the big misses:

1) Steve and JT should have swapped bikes one time just to see how much of a difference the HRC bike makes.

2) Hunter should have secretly replaced Steve for one of the runs.

On this week’s Pulp show, Lars said the data showed that Steve only opened up the throttle to 78% the whole time. Grinning

I think they were but ran out of time - hence why it was 5 starts but stopped after JT went 3-0..

Why did Steve let out so early?

That was fun!

We were ten feet behind the gate while they did this whole thing waiting to race Warrior class moto 2.

The main problem Steve had was bogging the bike badly as he left the mesh and hit dirt.
It sounded like he was at 1/4 throttle and was just dumping the clutch.
The practice runs were really bad for Steve and Everyone was telling him how to fix it.  Hilarious!

Steve only had that one decent launch where he didn't bog, but he shut off too soon and JT got him.

In that moment I felt 100% confident I could have holeshot both of those guys on my 350F.

I think it was worse than that, he topped out at 78%, went backwards further down the start straight 😂

Steve uploaded the chart he said to Insta, but can't find it on there?

I've been wondering why the start grates were different than the ones on Saturday.

I think they said that was the plan to swap bikes but there was a race lined up behind them and apparently the track owner wasn't  very impressed so it was kind of rushed.

They should’ve let Steve get more practice starts then JT imo. I wonder if Steve would’ve gotten better starts on the stock bike compared to Huntas?
