So saw Tate broke his collarbone and no Lorettas this year for the whole family. Was looking forward to seeing Chad,Weimer and Shorty in plus 25. Good luck to the recovery of the kids.

Pretty bummed to see Tate hurt again, especially after getting in to Loretta’s. Hopefully he’s just getting the injuries out of the way now while he’s young and heals quick.

I always feel like the most dangerous time or injury prone time  in my riding or anyone’s is going from one level to the next. Tate is going from local fast to national fast. I think Tate is in the transition right now. He will come out stronger in the end.

It’s been cool as hell watching Landen Gordon and Vincent Wey make this transition in person over the last couple of years.

That sucked to see him get hurt again. If I were Chad, I'd still go there and race. Just to make Tate angry and come back fired up even more. Just to say, here's what you missed.

He got in as an alternative and still got the number 22 over someone else that had earned their way and planned to run it 😂

This is correct. Someone who qualified out of the first regional who requested 22 didn’t get it but reed got it as an alternate. Tell me how that makes sense. Mxsports catering to the reeds and there #22.

And it’s not like the kid that requested it is a no body, he’s run in the top 5 at multiple amateur events

I'm not going to say it's just the Reed's. I'd bet AMA/MXSports would do the same thing for Stews kids, RC's kids or any big ex pro who's kids were racing Loretta's.

Damn his kids always seem to be injured...which is part of the sport....But maybe they need a different riding coach besides their old man, what worked for him doesn't seem to be working for his kids

It's whatever but not right at all. Unfortunately this happens with many things in life with people getting favoritism by judges, police, ect. As a little kid 13-15 I quickly noticed this going on with how people were treated by the coombs at races.

Turd didn’t get 29 in on of his classes, he’ll run 79 in that class.

If they made it out of the regional sure give them there numbers. But don’t take some kids number that qualified straight out of the regional and give it to an alternate bc of the kids last name.

Wait, don't forget the RV-hookup spot "Lottery".   It is very amazing how certain "names" sure do have good luck in a "lottery".

While we are at it....  anyone paying attention to the new spectator and day-parking fees this year?   Better check first before you invite family/friends to come watch or they will be in for a shock.

First time Short has ever had a hookup is this year, in all his years racing at the ranch. I had one every year but one year when I raced there!

Perfect example of how it should work- choosing number based on results, not nepotism..

Deegan was one of the fastest …but if he was just an alternate his whole life I wouldn’t expect #38..

I didn't say it was right or that I was ok with it. My opinion is it should go by who qualifies first through regionals. Go by position first and go through each regional until you get to the last guy that qualified through the regional, then move on to alternates.

Well, I've been proven wrong. On the other hand, I feel like you guys are so easy going and all that you wouldn't fuss or fight to make sure you got that number if they didn't give it to you 😉

I would add Caden Dudney to that list of riders as well. He seems to be transitioning to the next level well, but is coming off an injury. He's another one to watch. I agree Gordon is doing really well

The 22 vlog wouldn’t look good without running the 22 at Loretta’s

Thank you!! It’s our fault we didn’t sign up sooner for him to get it. And 79 is the number Andrew ran his last year at the ranch as a kid!

He did get a fan for life in 2001 though. Gave me his goggles after one of his motos. Few years later got a team ECC Suzuki jersey at Daytona. Hope to race him next year in 40+.
