Chase's mechanic was asked by another member of media a couple hours ago, and he hadn't been told to get anything ready and didn't seem to know anything of the matter at all.

Chase must still be really banged up?

I think he was referring to KTM getting bikes ready for the Coenen brothers.

According to gatedrop

racer X is owned By Coombes who runs the nationals. His web page would have this news on there if it was in fact true

Very true. They would be advertising it all over to get as many people in the gate as possible.

Realistically how many more people do we think the Coenen bros would bring in?

15-20?

Not trying to shit on them, I just don’t know how many average American moto fans are gonna have their decision to attend swayed by them being there.

So, who is actually coming to Southwick? There's been about 4 rumours of different euro riders coming to Southwick. It's under one week away, surely people would actually know by now.

But how many more Europeans would take interest in Southwick via online or TV making the commercial side of the event even better.
I would imagine a lot considering how everyone still talks about Herlings at Ironman, the attention Cairoli had with his American stint etc. Even Desalle and Strijbos have been mentioned earlier in this post. Fans remember these events because it’s not very common.
Many people tuned into Villopoto racing the MXGP, so when it happens the other way then the Europeans tune in too.
’Europeans’ coming to America is good for the sport, and Americans going to Europe is good for the sport too. Any racing between the 2 series is a win and I support it.

If he does he'll have to change that #96

If anything, they will just be spectators enjoying the ambience.

For all the hype that surrounds the GP guys potentially coming over for one-off races, I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more frequently.

If I were Prado id be pretty stressed if any of these dudes come over and do well, though.

Maybe they're just coming over for depositions?

When's does an American shoot over for a GP? So annoying its a one way street and I see fans calling Herlings a pussy. For one, he already came over and cleaned house. And two, where's the National rider ever sacking up to go over there? Maybe the National schedule doesn't allow it and I'm talking out of my ass though

Realistically, 0... Aside from ET, HD or JL, does any one rider really have enough pull to bring additional heads that aren't getting comped tickets?

I could see them pumping the narrative if it were a billboard name like Cairoli or Herlings. I think Lucas will get to that point, but he has a few more wins/ships till he's on that level.

They'd be a welcomed addition, but as you're alluding to, I don't think the series would benefit monetarily from a one-off appearance.

It would add to the world wide coverage of the race.

Hmm I didn’t call anyone a pussy? Or say anything negative.  I said that with all the hype I’m surprised more don’t do so.

There are far more gaps in the GP schedule so it seems more likely, whereas the Americans race 31 regular season races per year with weekends off sprinkled in here and there.

Very true.  I hadn't thought of that side of it at all, just the ticket sales.

I just checked with one of the higher-ups on the KTM US side; he said as of this morning, it's not happening.

They also said this was started by their agent without proper authorization or go-ahead.

Does his agent wear skinny jeans?

Hey Chris, It is a well known fact that sarcasm was invented and perfected in New England !
