Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
Dropped from 2:08 to 2:11 to 2:15 to 2:22.
The bike must have started running slower mid-moto, right?
Mitch should mail him a pair of running shoes.
I dont know what is the reason but in his first year with Gas gas gas rhe same... He push in the first laps and later deop the anchor because the bike wasnt where he wanted and he couldnt push all moto.
Maybe is something like that year, but Who knows.
He needs time, i expected more too but the real thing is this his only 7 race with kawi and with alu chasis... His only brand diferent to ktm in his life was metrakit in his early years... Metrakit is like cobra in EEUU... Made in the past bikes for kids.
I expected him Racing for top 5-8 ... Hope he turns It soon and bring home what a Rider of his caliber should bring.
Panic button smashed

Maybe he’s struggling with the bike goes and fast as possible the first few laps then it wears him out and he just brings it in safely. Idk but this proves going from one series to another isn’t as easy as expected.
Tomac got in the 2:04’s while Prado was running 2:20’s. Sure, it’s the bike…
Without doubt there’s something else going on here , in a gp he would put a minute on / lap some of the riders hovering around the top ten , I knew it was a big change and wouldn’t be easy but something don’t add up
Maybe Kawis got him on a stock 250 with a pipe
12-23 is diabolical. The first moto .. so strange. To get beat by a guy who probably hasn't been within 15 seconds of him for 5 years
Man i dont kown if some vital menbers are new to sport.
Prado won emx125 at 14 at his first try, he won his first mx2 gp at 15 years old. Herlings was youngest, Prado Next and Next was Rozcen.
He has a talent like Herlings, Jett, Tomac, RV2, RC4,R22, cairoli, everts, tortelli, Bubba, Gajser, pichón and many more.
Not so much Riders acomplish at his age what he acomplish and people here act like after 7 races he should retire at 24 years old.
I dont know whats the deal with him but he has time to figoure It, he is in his best years as a atlethe.
Prado's not a good mud rider, but seeing the reigning MXGP champ spanked by Paturel who couldn't find a ride (and so many others) is not exactly something I would have expected...
Not feeling comfortable with the bike is a thing, but now we've entered another galaxy.
I think Kenny has Prado and Jeffrey beat as youngest winner and I think Kenny might be the youngest world champ too.
Agreed. But that's why everyone is freaking out about his results. There is no possible reason why Paturel should beat him. He had less time on the Suzuki. Has to adjust to all the same things. And he's riding a damn Suzuki.
Has to be confidence. And as the motos keep going like this he's only going to sink deeper. He went on GT and spoke openly about believing he can beat Jett. That Jorge seems light years away
We know he has talent. At this point it’s just trying to figure out what is wrong. Since no facts have been provided we can only speculate. My guess is the shoulder, with a little bike setup complicating things.
Yeah Kenny got his first GP win just 2 months after turning 15 and is also still the youngest champion I think.
He has a point though, Prado absolutely belongs to the Kenny/Herlings talent conversation (Prado probably had the two most dominant MX2 seasons in history aswell, together with 2013 Herlings) and it's sad to see him this year. I really hope something happens asap.
Yeah, dont get me wrong.
Prado is the mxgp champ and needs to prove thins in ama.
Paturel spend almost all of his pro Carrer on a Yamaha that has alu frame.
The results of Prado are far for mediocre but IMO more sooner than later he should win some races...
Specially when you look at Prados first MXGP championship in 2023 when everyone said he was just start dependent and could only deliver in the first moto (well both of those were kinda true), then he showed a whole nother level last year, coming through the pack when he had rare bad starts, winning 11 overalls, completely different level to his first one.. And now he's battling privateers. Man it's so tough to watch as a fan
Pit Row
4 world championships. Holeshot king.
Kawi better do something
His starts were fine today. The fades and poor finishes are the problem.
Ben Townley and another guy on a podcast said Prado told when he signed that he needs the fastest bike they can build. Ben said he likes point shoot. Dragster power. He dosent want to over ride the bike like Eli. Check it out. Elhombre and Adam were both complaining..
Sooner and later as in next year? No way he wins any Nationals this summer
Kinda hard to believe that a guy who drops from 2:08 lap times early to 2:20+ late in the moto needs more ponies to improve his results.
I dont kown... Im saying a moto jajaj not a overall.
Funny history.
In 2015 i was race mechanic at spanish championship and some fridays Prado and his father come at the truck where i worked to Talk with my boss.
Prado was Racing 125 in mx2 in Spain and one time i said to his father that his son is one of the Next world champion and his father smiled me but Prado only was a kid playing with braceras and didnt realized that...im guettig old
The only injury is in his head. This is a total meltdown.
Until i hear otherwise, at this point Im just going to assume that he and Kawi have agreed that he can just show up and go through the motions each week to learn the tracks, stay healthy and consider this entire year a wash. I just can't accept that he's trying at all, to be competitive.
I dunno man....
I get your point his results are awesome and Kawasaki's investment in him is worthwhile. NOT. What you state is something we can all agree on. You are absolutely correct. He has always been a contender where ever he raced obviously, just like you posted. But the perplexing thing is why isn't he now? That is the question, and judging by privateers on Kawasakis and Anderson it is not the bike.
Shit yes it is sad. Kawasaki or Prado should tell us what the real problem is, it must be an injury? It cannot be the bike to this extent of losing. Yes, sad is the most fitting word.
Prado was never my fav rider in GPs but still a fan. If you watch his career and championships, he’s never really been good at coming through the pack. His MO was to Holeshot and sprint a few then maintain his lead and his big points leads ion his 450 championships were built in the short Saturday qualifying races. I still say, if there wasn’t points for the Saturday races he wouldn’t of won the titles.
Saying all that, it’s not just the bike here that’s for sure, there is a lot more going on. He’s a confidence rider and needs a happy environment and I’m not sure he’s geling with the team or whatever. There is no way in the world, slow bike or not that he should be struggling to keep it inside the top ten being pressured by Paturel, who couldn’t lace Prados boots through there careers.
All doesn’t appear well in that camp, it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a mutual parting of ways between them.
In the first moto after a few laps he did not look aggressive at all from what I seen out of the others.
