And you don't think that has happened already? It was the fucking topic of the week after.

Nothing will be perfect. Its 50/50 national track inspectors would have them removed.

Had to remove similar ones for a national 5 years ago the day before race weekend upon inspection, they was supposed to stop people from cutting the track but would instead eject people right over a fence if hit.

Not everything is detailed out. Just as a car can be more or less safe depending on exactly what and how you implement things. However, some things are very clear cut.

Oh I read the thread about what happened to Gasjer like anybody else.  I only added that to this discussion since you pointed out that American tracks are built by fools and need 3rd party regulation, and that the MXGP series has far superior tracks that are scienced out for safety, gone over by multiple organizations, and every jump and corner has a staff of people to ensure it is safe.  I suspect Tim thinks the safety organizations need red ball noses.

Im not talking about a thread on vital. 😐
Im sorry, can you point to where i said that every track would be perfect due to higher security thinking? Using that as an argument for not doing anything is, i dont know. Read what i wrote about seat belts again.

I think i made my point.

I’m just so disappointed in Steve. Man his show use to be so good. Now he’s one of the biggest shills in the industry. Which if that pays the bills cool but he likes to say “I’ll say whatever”. Ha right…….

I'm probably a better human than you. I've read plenty of your vitriol & hateful remarks to make that assumption. I also don't live my life as angry and hateful as some here. Many threads in this forum are pretty trashy at times. Between hating on RC, Lawrences, Bubba (back in the day), Supercross, Pulp, Feld, DC, MXSports, etc, etc and the single one liners "fuck that guy," someone would think this sport is total trash sometimes. Everyone wonders why we aren't getting big outside sponsors? I would be willing to bet some executive or one of their research minions does a little market research or poking around and they stumble across this forum and click through a few of these Topics..... Of course you can have an opinion about something but to sit behind a keyboard and perpertually bash people constantly if being a pretty shitty person. The very people that talk shit on here all day long also can't stand to get a taste of their medicine with a comment or statement and so their only response back is to continue be a shitty person. Holy shit dawg, tell us more about how awesome you think you are.

That SoCal arrogance (or is it ignorance) is why us Idaho folk hate most of the Californians that have escaped your shit hole and moved to Idaho.  Do yourself a favor, when you finally get smart enough to abandon the dump you call home, don't move to Idaho you won't like it much because some local will put you in your place real quick with that "I'm better than you" Cali Girl attitude you got.

That has happend multiple times im aware off. Usually, its not worth it because you have healthcare covered outside US, and damages awarded will be limited due to legal system applied but still happens when its neglicance.

But what does that tell you, that markets without the concern of heavy lawsuits that risks a complete business, has gotten further on the topic. I find it hard to sit and whine about it to be honest.

You genuinely believe that the “hatred” found on places like VitalMx is the reason that MX doesn’t have Fortune 500 companies as Sponsors? Have you looked at literally any other mainstream sports comment sections?

Holy shit... good catch!  I hadn't noticed that this dude was VERY clearly a Rich Taylor ball gargler.

@mxxcdez so what's the story dawg?  You man enough to admit that you're only on Vital because either:

A. You are Rich Taylor

or

B. You are here to defend the honor of your boyfriend, Rich Taylor

Come on little buddy, tell us the truth.

*Edit to add: I see you downvoted, didn't figure you'd respond, it's tough to face the music when you've been outed as a shill isn't it?

Asking Steve what other factors, that he himself alluded to in this very thread, is a lack of knowledge? You got me, because I’m not the dude who makes his living off reporting things in this sport and came into this very thread saying there were other things that lead to the closure of the track, but failed to provide any information on what those factors were.

Going back and forth with you will be as pointless as it was weeks/months ago on this same thread. I just hope RT is compensating you well for the cover you’re running. We can tell you’re working hard.

If you're admitting that no track will ever be perfect due to higher security thinking, would you also say that you're ok with any track getting sued due to that aforementioned admission?

Yes, things can always be safer until we're all locked in padded rooms with straight jackets on.. its just wrong to sue a track for a riders error.

At first I thought MxXcDez was Rich Taylor, but why would he keep showing up, saying the dumbest shit possible and adding fuel to the fire?

It must be another goggle brand henchmen here covertly to drive the final nail.

Everyone knows if you crash at the track and get hurt that you don’t sue. That’s on that part of the paper that you never read and sign called the waiver before you pay and get into the track.

Vitalmx and its users are the reason we don’t have main stream sponsors? You must not have been around NASCAR much, this is a safe space compared to their fans.

This whole thing is stupid. All I know about it is what I've read on Vital, but Rich Taylor looks like a complete scumbag in this deal. Who in the hell rides motocross, goes to a track to race, signs a waiver, assumes the risk, gets hurt and then sues the track? I know who....... SCUMBAGS!

Did his son not have health insurance? If so there should be no medical bills other than the deductible. If not, well that's another dumbass move on RT

A few years ago I had hernia surgery. I got nauseous from pain meds post surgery. There was fear of ripping the internal stitches if I threw up so they gave me meds to treat the nausea. I ended up staying in the hospital an “extra” 4-5 hours over what the norm was for hernia surgery according to the insurance company. I received a bill for almost $30k. Blue Cross Blue Shield would not cover it. I had to fight the charges on an almost weekly basis for over a year and eventually got them to cover everything. Just because you have insurance doesn’t mean they will cover everything.

Insurance companies will be fine when they see there is some structure and they are not depending 100% on individual track owners and their better judgement.

Making a living from an industry doesn't absolve a track from getting out of situation they either overlooked or were complicit in. Also, what is LACR doing with the donated money???? Why haven't they reformed their business? Why are they still using the Barbacovi name? They should move on and rename if they really want to reopen. I find it fascinating that no one else is asking these questions. You can continue to blindly donate money "hoping" they will reopen. I would be asking what are they going do to with the money and why haven't they done what other tracks have done to reopen? I know of other tracks that have reopened under new ownership and become AMA sanctioned. You clearly don't want to help solve their problems so people can ride at LACR again. It's pretty shitty to lead people on when they have turned away help from others. You ony want to verbally berate people so you can feel tough and heard.

How is it LACRs fault for overlooking something but Rich (likely you) has no responsibility for it when he let his kid race on the track all day?

How can you say that LACR was complicit but not Rich?

If it was so fucking dangerous, shouldn't Rich have not let his kid race?  You'd think given that he's made his entire career in the motocross industry that he'd be fucking smart enough to see something so dangerous right?

Bottom line, dude saw a chance for a pay day and took it.  America would be so much better off without people like that.

Should have seen the Denver Broncos forum during the Tim Tebow days! Holy moly, It got so bad, the moderators made a separate forum for any and all Tim tebow posts. (Sorry not adding productivity to discussion, just trying to lighten it up a bit)

You have the right to take legal action if you believe you’ve been wronged. That’s how the system works. Suing isn’t illegal, whether you agree with it or not. Just like Mirtl has every right to defend himself over allegations of theft, others have the right to file a suit to prove it. That’s what due process is, innocent until proven guilty. Nothing about this situation was illegal. If you can’t accept that, maybe give back any class action settlement you’ve ever received. After all, that’s the same legal system at work. And by the way, every time you receive a payout from Apple, they recoup it in the cost of my iPhone.

A "payday" is not what I read on Page 1, it was a recoup of expenses, seems pretty fair to me. Why didn't LACR or the promoter coordinate or setup a Gofundme or a ride day to help out, especially to help out an "industry" person's son with substantial injuries? Did they turn a blind eye to the situation? I don't know, do you? It's starting to sound like LACR is milking donations as I posed the unanswered questions before and they're milking an 8 yeard old story. What about their latest lawsuits? I know other tracks had and have some going on with other notable people inside and outside of the industry. Why don't look them up and bitch them out? Again, here are some unanswered questions you should be asking if you REALLY want LACR to reopen, see below.
