Any news yet on the extent of his injuries after his hugely unlucky get-off in qualifying?

Was wondering that myself.  His leg seemed to be in a funny position and he grabbed it when they took the camera off of him.  Hope all is well.

That, or something to do with the femoral artery…although I’d think that would have been already evaluated /controlled by EMT and/or intake at the hospital.

When I broke my femur (open fracture distal end) and shattered my acetabulum (hip socket) I was fine at track other than an immense amount of pain.  Per the trauma Ortho guy the hip break nicked my femoral art. Since it was cold at the time it clotted itself off. Then when in surgery it opened back up and cardiovascular surgeon was called in to fix the artery.

Whether or not that is true or he nicked it during surgery. They had to go in and repair from the inside thru the gut so they were "in the area" with scapels and shit. And I know the fucker hit my sciatica nerve as I went in fine with good dorsal and plantar flexion of my feet. Left foot comes out dead and it the worst pain imaginable. Had drop foot for a long time but now just very weak dorsal flexion (can't shift up at all) and still lots of neuropathy that high doses of gabapentin control. So who knows, maybe he hit that femoral. After su gery I wake up in ICU as well receiving several units of blood. This was 10 years ago.

It's scary to think because I laid on ground for an hour waiting on the ambulance. Had that thing been free bleeding inside that could have gone really bad.

I work in the ER and I've seen a few deaths from leg arteries smaller than a femoral . Couple of old ladies fell and broke ankles and tore the arteries in the ankle areas. Bleed out because couldn't get up and no phone. So a ruptured femoral and your ass is in trouble.

I hope the kid the best of luck.

His leg looked BAD, but I didn't think it was this bad. Horrible news. Hoping the best for him.

I was thinking the same. Biggest risk with a femur break is the potential to pierce your femoral artery.

I hope they have him sorted.

I heard some where it was a compound fracture. Can't remember where and not sure if it's true.

Wow, thats a lot to digest there. Praying for Trevor and his family. So many different complications to deal with. I really hope Trevor can recover fully from all of this and be 100% again. I'm not talking racing moto either, just 100% healthy. Pulling for you man.

Holy shit. I don't know him at all, but hoping the damage to his brain is negligible.  Unreal.
