Can we just wait and see if there’s actually something going on outside of Chase actually being banged up. Like why is “he’s sitting out because he hates KTM” the default? I’m old enough to remember the whole “Jason Anderson isn’t hurt. He’s just pissed and we will never see him on a Kawi again” speculation.

Kawasaki is about to have a rough time with two riders that are so quick to blame the bike 😬

chase's problem is the same problem everyone on here would have if they looked over and saw Jett , Eli and  Hunter on the gate with them

Webb had him handled in SX and suprise all the heavy hitters on the gate for MX had to  not pley well in his head

Maybe Chase has a thyroid issue that he isn't ready to talk about.

But didn't he say the day before in a weege interview I think it was when talking about the bike, he said the engine is good was just doing suspension testing after first round. But now its slow?

Remember Prado saying when he first went to Kaw they gave him a few engine's to test and one was to fast. Now he needs more coming off an injury?

Gonna be a lot of confused people if Chase ends up staying with KTM next year.

Yes, but a bit of context here. In the interview where this is from the discussion between Lewis and Prado touched on how Prado likes a lot of power on his bikes, especially to help with starts, but also with his general riding style. Lewis reminded him Herlings had said he'd die if he rode Prado's bike because of the extra power. So, it doesn't mean the Kawi is not fast enough, it's just not powerful enough for Prado.

Maybe. But on Pulp Steve and Keefer mentioned that it’s a known thing Kawi is down on power compared to other teams. I know it’s not factory, but they also said Nicoletti is down 8-10hp from his Yamaha.

In Supercross, Chase made whatever mistakes he made and owned them. He raced to the end in case Webb faltered, and was disappointed in himself in the interviews I heard with Lewis. I never heard him put down the bike.

At Pala, James said live it looked like he hit a false neutral. Others noted he hit the rear brakes after he lunged forward. I didn't hear him blame the bike. I don't believe he would fake an injury but yes he may be tone deaf on the tweets disagreeing with his team mgr.

I feel like this "I hate the bike (or team) so I'm out"  narrative had just run it's course with JA21 and now we get this.

Agree 100%. I can’t actually recall Sexton criticising the KTM much? He does seem to struggle with setting up a bike though. In SX he even said he had asked for the bike to be left alone and was putting it on himself to perform, then went on a win run.

On the Honda he struggled with the bike in SX, outdoors not so much. Searching for SX success was the original catalyst for looking for different ride. Remembering Roczen also complained about the Honda in SX. But Sexton still left on such good terms that they offered him a bike for MXdN, even though he was no longer with the team.

So how much of the narrative here is fact and how much is the usual pitchfork crowd?
Imo if Sexton and the team are at loggerheads, then there’s likely more going on than just Chase being unhappy with the bike.

yes I kno another chase sexton thread , but I’m chillen out listening to the hangtown review & Steve basically said tht KTM is not too happy right now cause they don’t think chase is all tht hurt & also Steve said someone in the kno made a claim to him tht this could turn into coop’s situation back in ‘23 , so wht the hell is really going on 🤔

If the part about Sexton not being too hurt and intentionally holding out, is actually true, that’s a very unprofessional thing to do. You sign on the dotted line, then you should man up and finish the contract you signed. Not liking the bike is not an excuse to not show up. I’m hoping it isn’t true and would like to think that Sexton is of better character than to not give less than 100%.

The video was taken down but the audio never was. This was about him drinking a drink that wasn't a sponsor during the interview. Pretty sure even the video has been put back up but zoomed in more where you can't see the drink. Had nothing to do with what he said in the interview. It was actually a pretty good description of what it's like to have to ride a bike you aren't comfortable on.

What if the RUMOR he isn’t hurt isn’t true? Will all of you put your pitchforks down or will you keep demanding something from Chase you don’t demand from others? You all know a concussion isn’t like a broken bone, right? You can’t see it and it doesn’t have a set recovery time, especially if you have experienced multiple times.

So we've seen he's probably not coming back until Red Bud but has any of the PR's said why? What was the damage thats going to keep him out a month? If they havent said what's banged up specifically, thats a little suspect.

Whether the rumor is true or not, the need to speculate is the most ridiculous part about this whole debacle. This is supposed to be a professional sport, and there hasn’t been a press release with the health status of one of its star athletes? Instead, we get him trolling the media with more speculation through twitter? What a joke.

I agree.

But it seems like you missed where you need to blame the media members and probably Davey Coombs or it isn't a valid rant.

Dude has won as many 450 champions in the last few years as anyone, he is consistently one of the fastest dudes every race.  He constantly is able to work through the field.  He rarely gives up, probably to a fault.  He is almost never hurt.

It's a lame take for so many to just default to he quit because Jett is there.  Pretty sure he was ahead of jett in points when Jett got hurt in sx.  Yeah Webb, got him in sx.  But Webb is a legit 3x champ!  Chase barely lost.  If he's hurt, he's probably hurt.  He will be back when he is ready.

Down 10hp? That sounds wildly exaggerated. I'd be surprised if factory 450s made 10hp over stock.

Anyone think Chase should start signing 1 year contracts instead of 2+1? Would be pretty hard to make it through the remaining teams in the pits on all 2 year deals

That’s probably in Supercross, outdoors is a whole lot easier to let her eat.

He could do himself a favor and just come out with some news about where he is injury wise.  Right now, it just reflects badly on him as a professional to just say nothing.

Maybe he's just bummed and burnt out. He lost a sx title from stupid mistakes that he could have won, and then in the opening laps at Pala his title hopes ended.

I'd venture to guess he just needs time to get in the right space and feel motivated to race again.

I would prefer he release some more specific info but he would not be the first guy to look at all the hate and disrespect and just say why bother? He gets far more than his fair share of shit for being a pretty decent human being.

He could be over in Japan for a few weeks working with the Heavy Industries engineers trying to tune in some more power into the KX motors for 2026.
I e always been a Kawi guy from the early 80’s. They always had plenty of power. What has happened?
