Sooo was going to go to the Thunder valley National and its pretty damn expensive to sit in the dirt for a day and attend the pits. Adult GA 74$ w/o pit pass, with the pit pass its 108$ per person.....
I paid less to go to the Denver Sx lol... 34$ and we got the suite level with the carpet...(Entered pits with a monster can)... which was a whopping 40$ total for supercross...I cant seem to justify spending double to be wayy less comfortable, other than its Hardcore lol.
Also add in the family (Total of 4) and it was 160$ for supercross vs 432$ for a national.
I have no qualms with them making money but gah damn. I have never paid more for a national than a supercross and i've been attending races for a good while.
Fuel is down and food is down, general costs are stabilizing.. yet all the sudden all of our local tracks and moto venues are still raising prices due to “expenses”.
The expense is called “I want to get more of your money in my account”. Don’t get it confused.
Where is it acceptable to put the $ after the number? I think if we start here, we identify the issues with the fiscal problems.
ive always done it that way...i personally hate the ($xxx)... I never say hey this cost Dollar60, or $60...I legit have always said this cost 60 Dollars.,. so i put my $ signs behind the cost... To hell with society on that one.. (besides nit picky ass banks and checks)
Trust me, your local tracks aren’t trying to screw you, their insurance costs are just going through the roof.

You can thanks states like California, run by idiots, law suits, and all that raises insurance for everyone everywhere.
I don’t think they’re trying to screw people but to say they aren’t making an attempt at increasing income is silly too. They don’t get up at 5 am, prep, maintain equipment, and stand out in the heat all day with a microphone “for the love of moto”.
You lost me at fuel and food being down.
Yeah I saw High Point is $80 each adult for just the Saturday general admission this year. Think the breakdown is like $65 for the ticket and $15 in fees if ordering online. I know a bunch of local dealers sell discounted tickets. Not sure if all the races do it but I’d HIGHLY recommend it if they do for whatever national is around you. Last years High Point was about $190 for me, my dad, and my boy if I paid online. Went to Lojaks dealership and got those same tickets for I think $130 cash.
Yes, for my California business it's required to have 6 separate policies in place. I just got a letter from one of the insurance company saying my premium is going up 25% this year. This policy premium was 20K, so that means another 5K just for one policy. It's getting way out of hand. Rent keeps skyrocketing too. Newsome and other CA politicians need to go.
Things are cheaper here than they were 2 years ago when the “due to increased costs” stuff began. Idk where you are though. We are not seeing $4 gas and such any longer.
Where do you live? I live in Washougal, fuel and food are certainly not down! Fuel is 4.59 a gallon and food is higher than 6 months ago?
Things are creeping down here. Have seen gas a little under $3/gal here and there. Groceries coming down on meat and some other things.
ok that makes sense, I will look local as well.. hopefully some shops have something a bit more reasonable
Yeah man I’m not sure.. we’re in west ky. Gas is 3.10. I’ve noticed certain things simply getting cheaper here too as people won’t buy them.
Kinda hard to compare this far apart. What’s a pound of 80/20 beef where you are?
I don’t mean any disrespect at all but man, you are an idiot.
Explain. I’m too stupid to read between the lines.
Look at this shit:
It seems as though they want you to thank them for agreeing to renew the policy! 🤦🏼♂️
Pit Row
Just bought some, $5.88/lb in California
That’s weird bc it’s like 5.29 here so not as different as I thought. interesting.
The ignorance is loose again today..... tariffs? whahahahaha
Cracks me up, CA and WA and CO inhabitants wonder why things are so expensive -- it's cause you're paying for the Free Shit Army, dummy! 🤣
I stopped going to SX around 2021, when the seats I'd paid $35 for in 2020 (few weeks before the covid) cost $85.
Just did a road trip from Phoenix to LA, will be doing it again next week -- gas was $2.89/gal. in Parker AZ, just inside the state line -- other side, in Kaliforniya, almost $5/gal.
Must be them dam' tarriffeses! The 68c/gal tax you pay has nothing to do with it! 🤣
It's still nowhere near the $2.08 I paid for a gallon of regular gas in Phoenix on 20 Jan. 2021. Guess How much it was a week later?
The national average gas cost today is $3.15 (a year ago it was $3.45). Add in local city taxes with the tax list below.

Motocross is not Disneyland bro. Keep your family at home if you’re worried about the expense. I guarantee most of them don’t enjoy it anyway.
Just imagine how much money you could save by putting a flatscreen TV outside, ordering a few pizzas, grabbing a cooler full of beer and enjoying motocross from the comfort of your home.
Gas prices always perplex me and how people attribute whoever is in office to them alone. I live in Illinois and was road tripping through Wyoming, and gas was nearly identical even though I was passing refineries. Missouri was the cheapest.
Cheapest I've ever paid for gas was $1.28 in September 2014, but nobody likes to cherry pick the lows when they're trying to maintain a narrative that says otherwise. Highest I've ever paid (in unusual circumstances, gas station within a national park in California) was around $5.25, but what hurt the worst was in the neighborhood of $4.50 in 2008 when I was a completely broke tech school student in Ohio driving a truck getting 12-15 mpg.
Bonesshakey15,
That makes perfect sense.
Live your own life.

Not where I live, that's for damn sure
Fuel is down here in TN. Local runs $2.49-2.79 for regular gas and diesel is $2.99-3.09. The only grocery price I noticed going down was eggs.
I was told by someone pretty high up that it’s $1.99/gal 🤷♂️
You can thank people like Rich Taylor for that
I went to the nascar cup race at Texas motor speedway last month and tickets were $150. I had hit the same race 2 years prior and tickets were $60.
I had to step out of line and think about if I was in or out on that price increase. While I am debating it in my head, this guy looks at me and asks me if I want a free ticket. He had seat for 4 and only 2 of them went.
Thank you Tim Blankenship for a very free & very rad day in the stands!
