If you're a registered voter in the district,  go to the counsel meetings. I'm sure the normies that live in the tract housing close to the track are more active in the community than the local dirtbike rider.

I live 4 miles from the track, and rode there 8 times a month starting the first day they reopened, and I know all about the local residents, and yes, they are very well organized since the Amazon attempted purchase, and they hate us more than we hate warm beer and cold women, (or cold men if you are a woman, or...).  😀

Actually there was only about six people in Summerly that complained, one died and the other moved away and the others seemed to have settled down in about 2023

That's great news! Amazing how you could simply move somewhere else if you don't like it. Wild concept.

Love that there is an image of a dirtbike as part of their vision for their Dream Extreme 2040 campaign.

Post up when everyone should show up. I’ll drive over the hill to support the track making a comeback.

Better yet, not move in when you are doing the walk thru and hear dirt bikes in the background.  Don’t move by an airport then bitch about planes making too much noise. Crazy the way some folks think…

My memory is a little shabby LOL I'm thinking three possibly four times! The land would be expensive to develop for anything else like others have mentioned and the City really wants the track so positive thoughts it'll reopen again!

I used to live down the street from the track in Murrieta, and probably have ridden at Elsinore 100s of times since its inception. I was under the impression they weren't able to bring in dirt because it's a flood plain, given it's near the lake and must stay at lake shore elevation. That's why the dirt always sucked there, they could only use what's on the property. When they reopened the second time, with the white fence install and awnings, they brought in wood chips which did help. But it'd still turn to hard pack and snot when watered.

They brought in around 30 truck loads of dirt just before they recently closed and dumped it near the flat track, and they brought in several truck loads in February of 2024 and dumped it on the Novice track.

The following was posted by Pat Fowler on 3-7-2024.

"We brought in 15 super 10 loads and 20 bottom dump loads this is roughly 450 yards that we mostly used in the corners as we thought this is where it would be of the best use. When we brought the dirt into the flat track we brought in on a Thursday and Friday. Track is closed on Thursdays and no one really uses the Flat Track on Fridays. When we brought the dirt into the Vet we did it on  Monday and Tuesday when we were closed."

Below is the contact info for the city of lake elsinore engineering department that can answer any questions you have regarding flood zones and building on that property etc.

Good to see a track come back for so cal. But man that looks like it would be impossible for the place to hold any kind of moisture.

Ive never liked Elsinore. I've said this before but I'll do my best to be there on day one to support an open track. I'll show up, pay the gate fee and have a baloney sandwich and a couple of beers. I just want it to really happen.

The dirt at Elsinore isnt as bad as people make it seem, its more of a myth that the dirt is to blame and not the lack of true week to week track prep. ill take the word of jason baker who builds tracks and my personal experience of riding there for 25 years. If you have the right equipment and do the right track prep the dirt is very good. Check out this section from the vurbmoto article talking to baker about the dirt.

I haven’t been to Elsinore in 10ish years. I will say the dirt was slimy, slick, and terrible 15-20 years ago, but when they had a revival 10ish years ago the prep had improved a lot and it was a lot more fun to ride than it was before

Can't wait until they open back up. The summer months are brutal for riding but we always leave with a smile.

Thanks. That narrows it down. It wasn’t a dig at the dirt.

I just rode a track that looks quite similar and was interested if something like an MX53 worked well or if the MX34 was fine.

Just over the hill for me and would frequent LEMX particularly this time of year when Fox is closed for the Nationals and other big races.  Going to be damn nice to have Elsinore back.  Thanks to all involved. See you soon.

I'm sorry. The MX53 is good for the summer months if you ride a lot of hard pack.

Jason Baker says they hope to open possibly at the end of June but definitely sometime this summer, but did mention that some things were out of their hands.

Also, thanks to everyone that has posted on this thread!
