So do we still have to suck it?

The same people who were mad about his podium speech will also be mad that he apologized. The way of the world. Suck it. 

So does that apology come from the heart or team and sponsorship pressure? Maybe both? edit I guess an apology is an apology,   no need to look too deeply into it.

The farmer was awestruck. The snake has injected his poison into the farmer’s body. The farmer felt pain travelling through his veins. Kind of amazing that getting arrested was celebrated but some juvenile language on the podium leads to an apology. 

Disappointed he apologized to a bunch of booing cowards. I'm sure it wasn't his choice. 

You're a perfect example of why he shouldn't have apologized.  Now people will just use his apology to beat him over the head with. 

As I said before, I’d bet Mr Yamaha had something to say about the suck it comment.  You can bet he had help with the wording too.  

He's in a situation of damned if you do , damned if you don't ..... and he needs to charge his phone .

Kinda feels like "I'll say whatever I want, then just apologize after and it will all go away and be OK".

(Personal opinion only. For context I think he's a knob but try to keep my views on all situations neutral). 

Reminds me of this…Me: to my wife and kids every weekend during the summer..(way worse than suck it).

Time will tell.

If he would’ve put “with all due respect” before it then he could say whatever the hell he wants ala Ricky Bobby lol

Under rated comment…

He hit send and put his name to it so he gets credit regardless of what motivated it. I have given him plenty of shit but am happy to let him learn and grow up along the way. He's so close to being a dude that nearly everyone would root for if he just manages to stop having these moments. Still plenty of time for that to happen. 

I’m sure most of us said something we regret later at 19 years old. 

Cowards? Or fans of the sport that are tired of the clown show that he brings to it? Glad he apologized, regardless of who told him to. While he should have the common sense to know that comment would not go over well, at least someone is giving him sound advice. He should listen to that person more often.   

What about the other hundreds of previous  interviews?

I agree.  Funny though, I had a feeling some kind of apology was in the works, but I am shocked we didn't hear something about God thrown in there........
