PulpMX LCQ Challenge Race

Mav posted it in the other thread too.   It should start in a little over an hour.

I want to see a good race but my heart is saying let Chiz win. Would be actually cool to see them all let chiz by and battle it out for the remanding spots. 

The money Chiz wins goes to Jerry Robbin FYI 

Looking at the pre-entry list of riders.  Kyle should do well,but I think Harlan will be his toughest competition.

What even is an LCQ challenge race?

A chance for privateers to make good money

The guys finishing 5-last gain points (5th place gets 25, 2nd 22, etc)

If you have enough points you qualify, plus some wild cards

Race is about to start at Denver, 2 moto format, 2nd moto inverted staggered start. Winner should get over 20k

This coverage by Vurb is outshining NBC. 

We need to add a mechanics race ... 

Moranz should have been black flagged right after he passed everyone on the staggered start. Now they have to figure out a penalty. 

Edit: Nevermind. Apparently they were told they could do whatever the hell they want when the card goes sideways. I was assuming they were going on AMA rules. I wonder why they didn’t all go for it?

Good grief have some self awareness.... questionable start and then talk about getting a semi during podium interview.....

Moranz is having a hell of a bounce back year from last year. Good for him.

Was honestly expecting an immediate red flag. Don't they accept donations up until the show on Monday? I can see it taking a big hit for people not wanting to give it to Moranz for that 😬

According to Moranz they weren’t working off AMA rules and were told to go crazy when the card went sideways. 

That was good entertainment! Big day for those guys. Glad Steve puts on that race.

All the riders made reference to their friend Jerry and the 2nd start was fair game for Moranz so he was quick thinking.  I wanted Chizz to rip through the pack but he got tangled up in a wreck and must have dnf'd?

All in all it was cool, great field of riders to showcase without the top dogs.

That's Moranz's side of the story. I have a hard time believing they were told it was a free for all into the 1st corner. I'm interested to see what Steve says about this

It was a pleasure listening to Kellen call the race. Whole broadcast overall was great. Props to Steve and all involved. 

Enjoyed that. Hardy Munoz was exciting as always!
