Two weeks ago, ML had their preview for 250s 2026 and I was looking for the 450s  last week,  and hopefully  get some more details this week

Whiskey did an awesome podcast with Troy and he talks a lot about the Ducati venture. He goes in-depth about Red Bull and how they have a 20+ year relationship. I'd say it will 100% be a Red Bull backed team.

Eli doesn’t seem like someone who cares about which energy drink is sponsoring him.

Tomac and Ferrandis winning titles have definitely made the YZ450 more popular than it was. You see more at the track now then you did in 2018.

The 'blue pig' was alive and well as a moniker here for sure.

I remember the blue pig days well. What star did with that bike compared to the factory bike is incredible. I think I remember reading it lost 8-10#. Mostly electronics.

It was Red Bull/TLD day in the dirt for years as well. They at least have some history

We are all missing the mark on this energy drink thing. The answer has been right in front of us for years.

Both are in TLD with Hansen’s Energy as a sponsor. Obviously this means Tomac/Ducati/Monster is a done deal.

What a long term play by Troy. Unreal.

This. His options for teams to ride for are limited to begin with. He's going to turn down a ride because of Monster?

Was it that thing about Herlings, Suzuki and the US nationals? That was good stuff I can see why no one wants that out there yet.

It was funny too because the whole narrative even though the bike was winning bike shootouts was that “it works well for the average rider but as soon as you add power to it, it upsets the chassis” and Barcia kept blaming that for his bad starts.

Then Star said the first thing they did was make the bike as fast as possible and worked from there.  Grinning

Think maybe they were referring to the pre-production media pics of the 450 with Tony Cairolli posing with it, and pics of him riding it. It had the Monster claw logos on the shrouds...and on the front of his jersey.

Yeah but that is the MXGP side. Just like Triumph, Kawi, Husky don’t match series to series

Call me crazy but Eli has far more ROI than either  Deegan or Cooper. He’s faster and far more proven than either of them, he has more titles than both them combined. Don’t get me wrong, Cooper is damn good close in sx but I’d still give the nod to Eli and he’s not even in the same league outdoors. No doubt deegs will shred the 450 but imo Eli beats him next 2 years easy. He also far more popular than Cooper and although he has less social media that Deegan, he’s universally liked. I doubt there’s a single person that says they hate Eli or would choose to not buy a product he endorses but that cannot be said for Deegan. IMO star is making an extremely stupid move if they choose those two over Eli.

The noise of the crowd whenever Eli took the lead in any race this year be heard above whatever else was going on on the broadcast...

The noise of the crowd whenever Eli took the lead in any race this year be heard above whatever else was going on on the broadcast. Who else beat Jett straight up this year so far?

How about the crowd at the first round of SMX last year when he took that last corner before the finish? Goosebumps.

Tomac has become, unexpectedly I might add, the peoples champ. It's crazy to me any team would lose him over money. Tomac doesn't strike me as the greedy type...but he won't ride for free.

The sport is unequivocally better with a COMPETITIVE Tomac, so he needs a bike that he can win on.

That's exactly what happens bro. I'm 43 and feel like Reed, RC, and Bubba were battling like 5 years ago.

Now I have some kid on Instagram telling me I'm nostalgic because I called him dumb for saying supercross tracks in 2000-2015 were safer than the tracks today 😂

A non-monster Ducati would be the outlier. Maybe not as a title sponsor since they already have yamaha and kawi, but people are overthinking the energy drink thing. Monster could definitely follow Eli to the team as an additional sponsor.

Troy Lee himself said it’s going to be Red Bull. The bikes will look better with the Red Bull colors over the monster colors.

Others pointed out the RB confirmation, and also Monster is more focused on the series. They probably don't see a ton of value in one of riders anymore as we saw them nix the DF deal among others
