Anyone else having hearing issues after the Pittsburgh SX. Friends of mine went and left early because the PA was louder than the motorcycles! BTW, they attended other SX races this season without any issues until Saturday night. I also learned the band the SX broadcast promotes was playing in the pits at deafening levels as well.
Why bother sound testing the motorcycle when the PA drowns out the bikes?
I did notice that after the race. Told my buddy, "remember when it was all 2 strokes"? We could talk to each other during the race. Lesher's bike sounded awesome out there, when you could hear it.
Same problem at the Pala national a few years back. Where are they getting these PA guys?
I thought it was great you could actually hear the announcers, I didn't think it was too loud, I wear earplugs when I go to concerts but didn't feel this was at that level that I would need them.
Not as loud as a concert? What section were you in if I may ask?

You wear earplugs to concerts? Look at the loser over here that doesn’t want tinnitus and have to sleep with a fan or white noise machine on at night for the rest of their life.
I sat in 3 different sections, don't remember the numbers, nothing in the upper deck.
They definitely could have turned it down a notch. I was in section 113. My 61yo gun nut of a father, who is on the verge of needing hearing aids, also said it was a bit loud
I had a similar problem at Las Vegas Sam Boyd in 2016. I think the location of the seat makes a difference, and we must have had the worst location.
I sat in C149 and my wife made the comment on how we could barely hear the announcers
Not gonna lie I was pretty close to the track and remember thinking “this will be one of the last races that the bikes are loud…..wait a second the bikes are quiet af what the hell?” Only time I heard the bikes really well was when Webb would rev his bike at lappers
I was down in a lower section around track level for an "A" 450 practice and could barely hear the P.A. at that point.
I cannot speak for the actual race level, as I had moved indoors.
Atlanta was bad for this. The PA was excruciatingly loud. They also had a "DJ" at the race which was just pure racket and noise because it was so damn loud.
High Point has the volume up way to loud, forget about talking to some one and they never stop all day.
The bikes were not the problem.
