President Trump signed a new executive order stating proficiency in English should be a “non-negotiable” requirement for professional drivers.
Does @profeshenal125 meet the requirement?
Ruh-Roh!?
Why just truck drivers?
Pro is screwed
Too many foreigners with little to know training that can’t even read the road signs operating 45k # rolling sledge hammers on our highways running into and over our citizens who DO know how to read the road signs. Common sense basic solution if you ask me.

This is yuge. Well past needed. The amount of drivers thay don't speak English has gotten insane.
I don’t care which bumper sticker you have on your car- terrible, distracted, oblivious drivers are everywhere.
I follow one trucked channel on YouTube, and two more on X.
The deaths, and carnage these non english speaking, underqualified drivers are wreaking on our roads is incredible.
And very, very, very under reported by our illustrious television news channels.
These internet sites have been raising hell about this for quite a long time.
Not to mention the shady "trucking companies" popping up, undercutting the shit out of shipping rates, and driver pay.
Companies like FedEx and Amazon are subbing out their shipping.
Then that subcontractor subs it out to a third party.
That's where you get these young foreign kids, driving in pairs, keeping a poorly maintained truck on the road 24/7.
See it all the time on I-40.
Trucks with paper DOT numbers taped to their doors.
The irony hahaha
Pro125 should be glad that he doesn't pull containers out of the Port of LA. The port operator forcasts a drop in container vessels of 35% for the month of May. That's a huge drop. The vast majority of the reduction comes from US retailers halting orders from China.
The DOT already has the authority to require drivers to speak and understand English so I'm not exactly sure what the order actually changes. I'm also not sure if their jurisdiction goes beyond the ports of entry and drivers who cross state lines.
Arkansas started this aprox 6 weeks ago. Alabama started it last week and another se state. From what I heard u r asked if u speak or know English at the scale house. If not your not moving. A huge parking lot out back of the scale in al. Was full of 1099 trucks. The industry has been pushing for this for yrs , we did this without Trump. The industry is 80% illegals that don’t speak English . Yeah it’s f ing weird . They f up everything out here warehouse properties, truck stops, crashes r a all time high . Latest in trucking is in a recession , no freight , loads pay nothing , wage drop of 80k a yr. 3 to 5 illegals in 1 truck the truck never stops even if they run u over. I had a meeting with Wi. Transportation team about what is going on & how these co.s run 48+ hrs straight , with ghost fuel cards no history of purchasing fuel. A lot of co.s here are located in Eastern Europe. But other countries too tge Middle East , India, China, etc. I was trained by a lieutenant colonel of the state police in charge of the hhg rig trk line @ the biggest pipeline co in the world. This co turns the power on & off for the st of Wi. So they listened a little bit. Us drivers still hv to call the st police on these idiots. 2 weeks ago 1 cut a 40% angle & tried to run me into a bridge wall. I had knifes pulled on me at ts by 1 of the 53 African county drugged up pussys.he yelled in African b4 he tried to stick me in the dark . They hide in the dark between trailers & watch for a slow shadow walking. I hit that f ing dude soo good he left his feet & landed on his back of his head. Like welcome to America mother fucka. The government & everybody knows what has been going on since 08 . I,m trying to make it June then get a different job is there is 1. Remember the job would not let Naitive Americans speak there language in the 70,s yet. I speak Oneida Indian language it’s fun that was a language here 30k yrs ago . Hey man I got loaded. Ha
The DOT aspect of this is far from “enforced”.
The impact on container traffic out of the port in LB sounds fictitious based on everything Last2Smoke is posting about how the US won’t even make a dent in China’s exports 🤣
We wholesale a good many vehicles thru multiple online Dealer auction sites, and 100% of the transporters that come pick up the sold units speak no English ,or at best, very, very limited English. This is a change that has happened mainly just in the past 5-10 years .
I was under the impression that regulation was a bad, commie thing? This seems very regulatory.
Blame the trucking companies that were allowed to run rampant in their "hiring" practices. I took a sabbatical from my regular job in 2011 and drove for a family friends company out of West Valley City, UT. so I have a decent amount of experience in O.T.R. Reefer driving. Knocked out 265,000 miles in just under two years. I miss that Cascadia with an unlocked DD15, it was a beast.
The industry was going this way even back then. Seriously, an actual race to the bottom of the well when it came to who they would put in their trucks. The drivers from India were the biggest offenders by far. They would run multiple paper log books with up to 4 drivers in the cab at all times. Most of the hispanic drivers I came across were respectful of their duties and actually tried hard to make a living.
Having said that, I loved the actual job, but I'd never do it again given the current conditions.

I watched the interview earlier. I also check in with this guy from time to time. He has been reporting on shipping for about 4 years.

Yeah good luck with that, I agree with it but some group will oppose it guaranteed. Years ago when I was going from a guy cleaning pools out of my garage to a "Legit" CPO pool operator so I could take on commercial accounts one of the requirements was you had to be able to speak, read, and understand English before you could pass. Predominately because mixing the wrong chemicals creates mustard gas, explosions etc. Now I get 2 "Pool Pro" magazines each month, one in English and one in Spanish. Meanwhile all of the warnings on the chemical containers are still in English only... A for effort on this but good luck getting it enforced. At least here in Karenfornia
Then there’s the hole they cut into the cab floor so that they can SHIT will “making time”…Tell’em…they probably think I’m kidding…
YOU CAN NOT MAKE THAT SHIT UP! (Pun intended)
I get that. Seems that most of the drivers are decent enough guys ,just odd that they aren't able to speak enough English to communicate properly with the Dealers. They usually come in and just hand us the Bill of Lading and we point to the vehicle in question lol. And this is going to sound crazy, but I actually have to agree(🙄) with Pro125 on the Eastern Euro infiltration ,at least in our area . Most of these guys have a strong Russian/Ukrainian/Bulgarian accent when they do try to speak .
Pit Row
and they use an increase in accidents to justify more restrictive hours of service bs.
they end up forcing drowsy drivers to keep driving because if they stop to take a rest they can't make it back up.
it also results in a feeding frenzy for a parking spot at the same time everyday.
Who's gonna be the first to open up a Truck Driver Cert. language School online?

These are the tests I had to do in order to get a visa. Nothing wrong with having to comply with this.
Truth. I had to run e-logs and when it was time to shut down you better have your stop planned. All the larger interstate TS's would be full by 6pm, and if you were lucky you could find a wally world close by to take your 10.
I got good at maximizing my 34 hour resets so that I could keep rolling as much as possible, but shippers and receivers would always find a way to fuck that up. Plus my company wasn't a drop-n-hook outfit, so. it was always a live load/unload.
The russian mob was really starting to take ahold of freight at that time. Those guys really had no fucks to give on the road.
I would hear stories in various truck shops while getting minor stuff on the truck or trailer done about this issue. I personally never saw one, but most shops would refuse service for Indian drivers as the underside of the trucks would be caked in shit.
They definitely made that shit up, then let it fly out on the open roads.
So, is this fake news?:

Everyone speaks good english when its time to talk about the $…we ship my wife’s vehicle back & forth NY to Florida every year…. I”m always shocked when it shows up😂
We get some snowbirds down here that do the exact same thing.
I know a few that like Amtrak's Auto Train service.
Ya know…people could just drive thier damn…wait a tik, Manny, STFU!
Never mind.
From the article:
"Bates attributes the influx of foreign-born drivers to the country to a 2016 rule change by the U.S. Department of Transportation distributed in a memo eliminating the policy requirement to take drivers out of service for non-compliance with English Language Proficiency rules."
If I understand that correctly, Trump probably should not toot his own horn too much on this topic.
"My Freeeheeend, where are da gooot loht leeeeeezirds?"
When was The Donald sworn in as 45?
