I hate to be that guy but everyone knows Emig didn't ride out that corner right? Still an amazing photo

Yeah I remember that . Gary Bailey,s 01 Troy Ohio vid had Mike railing a deep rutted corner insanely quick.  But Emigs dragging the bars leading Everts or chasing is the best ever corner pic. 

. No he didn’t.   Chad Johnson on a 02 cr125 TUF Honda has the quickest pivot ever in a corner , Denver AX it’s on yt.  He’s back racing maybe because of his daughter racing .  And Wow is he fast yet . He won both 450a motos at a pro am a sand track of course.  

Surprised no one mentioned Ryno . He was a berm destroyer.  At Millville 97 he’s on the kx250 the berm b4 the back rhythm section . We where hanging ovr the fence yelling at him .  He blasted us good with sand . Even in 03 on a 125 he wanted to kill every grain of sand . 

Barcia had an insane corner outdoors - wasn't the past couple of seasons but maybe 3-5 years ago. Super unhelpful but I can't remember what track or what brand he was on but the announcers called it out. It's the only time I've re-watched a random corner in my life ha. Paused it to go back 3x. 

I believe Emig crashed and did not make that corner. 

Not the best, but pretty awesome.

RC destroyed most corners, watching old races reminds me why he was so dominant. 

The pic in my avatar is of RC coming onto the red bud start straight squaring the turn standing up to go up the inside of Alessi to chase down Stewart.. I was convinced I'd seen it on the broadcast but have since watched but didn't see it, so I don't know haha but still 

And a double punch to my nuts is any pic that I'd saved from that year that didn't have a 1 in the file number has disappeared from my computer and hard drives and I don't know if you can make the avatar full screen anymore soo yeah fucken awesome

Since I did not witness it live, I choose a reality where he did ride it out of the corner, and pulled a tear-off just after the exit 😎.

Roczen in practice, Sam Diego SX when it was at Jack Murphy/Qualcomm. 180 degree corner out in right field.

Don't know if this is THE moment but I kinda think of it as the same as the Emig '92 pic "Be a lot cooler if it was" haha

Fastest I ever saw at a race or in a video . Was Mike Larocco in 91 at Millville on a RM125 . The straight after the start the next corner b4 the table top. Wo in 4th to a bar dragging quick zip threw the corner.  He won the over all. 

That was decent but Chad Johnson,s pivot on the flat was x 4 times faster . And he did it against his team mate Jeff Wiloh .

I came here just for this. About 13 years ago I was delivering pizza and I saw that an order was going to his house. To this day I’m so pissed I didn’t grab a sharpie and write on the box ‘children of a metal God! You know he would have thought that was the sickest lol he still lives just five minutes away from me

The whole video is brilliant. Particularly Joel Robert’s facial expressions in the post-race conference when Everts is talking.

Roczen first lap at Millville on an off camber a few years ago on a Honda, I think they had just done track work and built up the outside berm, you could see him gas it down the hill into the start of the berm, and it looked like something out of a video game how fast he went around everyone into the lead.

The Buckley berm at Southwick has provided a few really good photos every year since 1972's first national there.

I can't find the exact footage, but Tomac blowing up Bradshaw Boulevard behind AC, Stewart passing Alessi on the outside in '08, and Tomac on any given lap at Washougal. 2:00 mark in this video. 

 

This might be the best thread ever, I watch the racing for the corners more than the rhythms or the straights. Late braking, transition to acceleration traction control via wrists….yeah booi
