Yep, another podium only made possible by questionable riding from a “Generational Talent”….who was third fastest all night.

In a decimated by injury regional feeder series.

If Jordan hadn’t ate it he might have been 4th fastest.

Good at grabbing highlights though, and Feld promo videos. Thank you DeeganDashians & Monster Energy..

So if HD wins does he stay down and risk get handled by Davies, Shimoder  or whomever in 26?  I’m not convinced he could win another one.

On the pulp review show, someone said that brian’s plan for haiden is to have him go 450 outdoors of next year.

My way of thinking is that he wins 25 SX he’s at peak value.  What happens if he gets hurt in 250s or gets beat pretty good and now Davies is the guy.  Seems like it would make sense to sign the big money 450 contract  and fumble for a few years “getting use” to the 450.  I think Davies throws a wrench into let’s take the slow approach.  They knew nobody from the US was on their tail but I doubt they factored in the Kiwi…

True.

But can we at least agree that you can basically count on Smith going down? I mean we have a 15 year sample size at this point.

Good question. I agree Davies will handle him. The other threats will be Kitchen, and JuJu provided he stops with all the bullshit and goes back to concentrating on the task at hand.

Yes, that guy.  He joined a few other riders, like Adam Cianciarulo and Justin Barcia who won a regional race in their first season.  It's pretty impressive.

However, you want to argue that Deegan's results are a reflection of a "decimated...feeder class" but don't want to apply that to any of the other riders.

Presumably, if these unnamed riders who are injured, would be beating, Deegan, knocking him down in points, guess who else that would apply to?

By the way, Haiden finished second overall in his rookie season, and if not for a broken wrist (which half of you sods deny ever happened), he likely would have beat Vialle for the title in his second season.

SX history gymnastics trying to convince us the 3rd fastest guy all night who barely finished third on the night is really the GOAT.

Got it

Good point but he can still take some of the shine off.  It will be interesting to see.

Their little squabble after the race didn’t look all that great but honestly, after hearing and seeing the context, I gotta say Deegan is totally right. He could’ve ran it in much harder on Beaumer and Beaumer shouldn’t be grabbing his helmet like that and pulling him in. Whining about Julien posting his arrest on his instagram Story is pretty funny though.  “Next time I got you!” Grinning

Deegan is right but every reason you gave says he is wrong. First he made no attempt to go easy on anybody or race him clean.. He cut across JuJu's line at 90 degrees in a 180 corner. That is what you call a blatant take out attempt. Oh coarse he is Baby Deeg's so nothing will happen, never has so he don't even know any better or how to act.

Next he is a little bitch that can't take the trash talk but loves to give it out. Third, he went hands on first.

Tell us more how right he is. Please...

1. There was nothing wrong with that pass.
2. I said it was funny that he got worked up over JuJu posting his mugshot to social media.
3. He didn’t go hands in first.

Control your emotions.

I think it's becoming clearer that Haiden is a much better outdoors rider. He makes a lot of mistakes in SX and is just not smooth enough. While he has the speed his style is not made for the indoors. Cole Davies is already a better SX rider in terms of technique and style and is going to start beating Deegan regularly from now on.

yeah no for sure bro, he sucks at supercross, that’s why he has the points lead. did you see arlington?

Can we all at least agree that Deegan & Beaumer are both silver spoon little brats that if it really came down to it couldn't punch their way outta a paper bag?

Ain't no way either of them pretty boys have ever been in a scrap....

The drama between them two just oozes WWE, heel vs baby face.

Some of you need to go rewatch Dave Mirra and the General smack each other around. It definitely lightens the mood.

When it became convenient to use as an excuse, then he was injured. So injured he won the 2nd race of the year. I'm confident he's going to get it done this year though

Stop with the "convenient when it could be used as an excuse" bullshit just because it fits your fairytale fantasy world. Haiden admitted the injury was worse than he let on before sx was over, and before the outdoor season began.

Jett won a race injured, riders can do it, but it doesn't mean it's easy or the injury isn't bothering them.

In fact Cooksey, in an Instagram post from Feburary 3rd, 2024 said:

"I finally got the scoop on Haiden Deegan, he broke his scaphoid (navicular) he had it surgically repaired (usually a double-sided screw). This takes around 6 months to heal completely but after 4 weeks with the surgery, it's stable then it's just about managing pain and swelling. He was off the bike for a month, and has been riding for just over a week to prepare for Detroit.  So yea, his "sprain" was actually a serious injury, but kid is tough.  He will be fine."

Not only was Cooksey right, but it also shows how wrong many of you were (which is nothing unusual with you keyboard cowboys).

Team403 , agreed...If Deegs and Davies are both in 250s in 26 and on opposite coasts...there are still the showdown races where the two would meet up.  I'd say it's best for Deegs to go to the 450s rather than hanging in the 250s and potentially not being the fast lites guy anymore.  Go for the big money 450 contract and start building towards winning the 450 class.

i've been watching sx for more than a decade now, always as a 450 only viewer.... but these last years ive been getting more and more into the 250 because of the lawrences, now deegan, vialle, rj, hammaker, juju, trasher, jo, forkner, kitchen. THIS is were the fun is!
Same in MXGP with de Wolf, Coenem, Adamo, Langenfelder, Everts. Havent been paying attention to this class until some of you fellas here told me in a very vital mx classic non-friendly way that I should watch them too. THANKS for that.

Personally, I hope Ju Ju's sole focus is to punt Deegan into the stands next week. Although I think his team will tell him to focus on the race and not the antics of a rider with the mentality of a middle school girl. Deegan likes to bring attention to himself, but it is not a good look for the sport. He makes it so WWE it's embarrassing.

Well from the sounds of it Brian is already reach around the AMA so both riders get a slap on the wrist and JuJu better not retaliate because he has been pinched already for getting blasted on the track and assaulted off it. Yes grabbing JuJu's helmet is legally assault.

If that's assault, vince friese should be arrested for using his bike as a weapon.  cmon now.

I was there, Davies looked REALLYU smooth, think I only saw one mistake, and he corrected seamlessly. If Davies keeps riding like that, they are all in big trouble.

Everyone posting here that Beaumer needs to ‘shut up’ clearly didn’t watch the video or listen to Beaumer’s interview. Beaumer didn’t instigate the conflict or say anything about the move Deegan made. In his interview with Lewis, he admitted his riding and mistakes were on him.

In the video, Deegan comes up to Beaumer and instigates the conflict, like it was him who got cut off. That guy is so egotistical and self-centered he has to make himself the subject of everything.

I just saw the video of their confrontation after the race, Deegan is such a pussy. He can’t say a word without wiggling his head and it seems like he wasn’t actually fired up about his address being posted, he just used it as a convenient reason to be confrontational. I didn’t realize he instigated by rolling up first, but great idea Deegs. You just showed everyone you’re not scary
