Thanks.  I actually went with a custom 1988 graphic for my other one.  I had a 1988 KX80 that I just loved as a kid.  My son wanted the 1992 graphic

Those are both awesome!  Love that Kawi has some blue on their team bikes this year.

On my 2024 I did a full system. I opted for the slip on this time for the 2025. With conversion it’s still a $750 muffler on my end, I didn’t want to spend on the full system. RMMC has them for $499usd right now.

Rode Ocotillo wells for the first time yesterday. Mostly wanted to go because of all the scenes in Crusty ect as a kid. Was fun!

I didn’t report on the slip on performance yet simply because I didn’t have a good feel for it and comparing to stock yesterday when riding.  New area, exploring, new lines and all that. It did feel like I wasn’t having to shift down as often. I am going to try of Cauhilla tomorrow and I’ll have a better idea of the improvements after that.

Weight wise it feels no different than stock when just holding them. I can weigh them when I’m home in a weeks time.

The slip on is good. It’s not mind blowing. Helps me carry third around a corner slightly easier but isn’t earth shattering. So far I’m missing my 2024 motor. Next step will be to try mapping changes. I don’t really want to mess on the app, it looks too easy to mess things up.

I love the bike but my biggest complaint is still vibration. I haven’t had a modern bike vibrate through the bars like this in many years. My 2024 had the aluminum cone bar mounts and barley vibrated at all.
So far I’ve ridden with stock, then aluminum cones to prevent twisting, and I just bolted on the luxxon bar mounts with what feels like zero improvement. The vibration is way more bothersome as the revs go up.

My bike doesn't vibrate.. it vibrates a lot less than my buddys  kx250 -22.

Feels like the 25 lacks a few ponies compared to the -22. The 22 Feels more stable also but a bit less front end grip in corners.

I heard keefer saying that balancing the crank will reduce the vibrations.

Just got the twin air power flow kit. Here’s some pictures of the kit versus the stock setup. Definitely should get some more airflow. I’ll follow up after my next ride on the power difference.

Just went riding this past weekend with the kit installed. Obviously I couldn’t ride the stock and twin air systems back to back to directly compare them but I definitely think the twin air kit provides for power all around. The engine also felt more free and revved up quicker so if thats what you’re looking for I’d recommend the kit. That being said if you haven’t removed the backfire screen from the oem system I would definitely start there before getting the kit. It's not hard to just take out. If you’ve done that and are still looking for more power and have the money for the kit I say go for it.

I have the twin air kit on my 250 as well. When you relocated the ECU with the provided bracket, does your Voltage regulator sit right on top of the ECU plug?IMG 0837 2.jpeg?VersionId=EdBPpBIN

I think I am going to make some new brackets that angles it down a little to clear. I showed this to the PC guys and they couldn’t believe it lol

Hope you don't mind me asking, but did you end up fabricating brackets to mount the ECU in a lower position? I recently installed the Twin Air Powerflow kit and discovered the supplied ECU bracket has clearance issues with the voltage regulator. The proximity has me worried about wire abrasion over time. Would love to hear if you found a good workaround. Thanks!

I haven’t yet, but plan to. With that being said, I did put a Vortex on the bike and in the Vortex rubber holder, the ECU clears the Voltage Regulator completely. These pics might be tough to see but the clears. Not an ideal $1000 fix, so we will be working on some new brackets as well as working on our own intake set up.

Friend of mine said Kawi is paying $1000 to win an A class national enduro, KTM pays $150 lol. I'd say the woods are about to get green(er) this fall/winter. The bikes look really good, I'm glad to see Kawi ditched one frame for all and put the 250 back on its own frame.

This. You can race two classes per bike frame at a local race and make 250-300 per class. Nothing else comes close

Kawi pumps so much money back into the sport.

You’ll need to remove the airbox side panel and snap a shot of your pin to get started. System works via Bluetooth, so keep that in mind, as you must always be near the bike and often hit the starter button a couple times. The best description I’ve seen of the process can be found in the Rideology app itself. Open the app, add your model to the start up list. Click on it, then go to ‘Options’ (bottom right). Click the ‘Help’ tab. Hit the ‘Tutorial’ button and scroll through the informational pages.

Be patient as you learn, and be sure to double check each map after sending by clicking the receive button to verify. I sync with the app and check the ‘Monitor’ tab when getting started to make sure the throttle position gels with the ‘Detail’ selection: It will show real time changes. Best of luck and keep us updated if you have any questions/need further advice. Cheers

No you can’t check hours. For some reason they didn’t do that.

Seems like a miss.

So.... it works better when you get the correct app. The motorcycle app came up first in the play store, so I clicked that not realizing below the ads was the kx app.

Connected right up lol

So then you just compare it to what you uploaded... that's a crappy design.

I did that yesterday and it looked the same,  I just thought there had to be a better way

Anyone running a TD or XPR mapped Vortex, PC exhaust and airbox mod? Curious how it compares over the stock setup.

I’m on a 450 but I’m running a vortex mapped by XPR, twin air flow kit & a FMF exhaust. Claims are that it is 8-8.5 HP over stock. We did not dyno my exact bike but that’s just a Kawi 450. My bike is dialed in & i swap my vortex bike to bike. The power is amazing. I’ve got multiple maps that I feel comfortable running in different conditions too.

The vibration is way more bothersome as the revs go up.

hey, can i get some different angles on that fuel tank? im trying to see how it fits.

EA sorry I didn't see your post, better late than never. Here are some photos of the IMS tank, I have a phone full of bike photos if you need more 😆. I also have the acerbis tank without the quick fill. I like them both. The tanks fit from the previous gen FYI, I raced last year with this same IMS tank on my 2024.

Anyone running a TD or XPR mapped Vortex, PC exhaust and airbox mod? Curious how it compares over the stock setup.

I’ve got TD Vortex, PC exhaust, Twin air airbox mod, race gas, and went to a 51T rear sprocket but just went to a 52. 2025 KX250

It’s nothing crazy to be honest but it does feel like the engine is a little free er feeling and I do feel more power up top in the rev range. When I rev it out I feel like it pulls more than it did stock.

I don’t feel any difference in the bottom, but tbh stock the bottom of the rpm range isn’t horrible.

If I was lighter I’d probably feel it more, I’m 205lbs, currently trying to cut 10-15lbs lol.

Only have 1 ride on the 52 rear sprocket this last weekend and that did feel better, going to ride it again this Sunday and hoping i can really feel it out.
